The boss got a letter from TPD today. They have recovered some stolen property from,,get this,,a 10 1/2 year old case.

Thurs. night a couple at Annex asked if their names could be embroideried on their Disney Santa hats. I stated "No problem. The wait is abt one hour. Do you have the receipt?" I saw eyes meet, cross, & questions silently fly between them. The usual dance was done to win me over. The husband finally took Santa hat off & said; "Look. Will this help & prove we bought them?. A rather worn silk type tag inside read; Disney Paris or the like. The husband then said; "We bought our hats in Paris. Aren't you impressed now?" At this point I decided quiet is best & I DON'T DO QUIET. Ever! Still wanting to help these guests I again ask for the receipt cuz I just might see what magic I can pull. The women looks at husband then me & says; " Why would I keep the receipt?" Husband chimes in; "We bought our hats in Paris 12 years ago!" Once again I try to steady myself against the force of stupidity & explain why I can't help them. They turn to exit & I hear husband; "Well, I gave it the old college."
