Now I am back and a little more toothless, but just as wise, maybe more so, because those darn wisdom teeth try to suck all the wisdom out of you into them so they can be called wisdom teeth! ;)
My mouf aches, but not too bad. The bad tooth is gone, so I won't have the friggin toothache anymore. The drugs have worn off, thank GOD! That crap they gave me this time was weird stuff. Ketamine, Verced and some other narcotic substances. The ketamine is FREAKY!!! I have never had it before and NEVER want them to use it on me again. It feels like you have been hit with a rubber mallet in the forehead and cannot move. Your eyes are wide open and you are totally aware of what is going on and you cannot move. It is somewhat like being hypnotized, if anyone has gone through hypnosis here. It is strange and they still stuck the damn needle in my mouth with novacaine. I HATE hardware in my mouth! I thought when they said sedation, I was going to be OUT like a light. Like normal sedation. When I came out of it, I was jerking my leg around, as well as my head and hands, until the crap wore off. This Ketamine shit is NASTY! We use it on cats in surgery and when I worked ICU at the Vet Hospital recovering cats from Ketamine was a nightmare, they would jerk around and howl and flail and roll their eyes and hallucinate. You had to watch carefully so they would not clamp down on your hand with their teeth. They had no central nervous system control at all. I now know what their little feline brains were experiencing. That shit is a dissociative and scambles the signal in the brain. (Not unlike some Stupid Guests!) There was a spate of ketamine thefts some years back from Vet Hospitals. People were stealing it and getting high on it. UNBELIEVABLE! I am not a Pollyanna, but this crap is dangerous, especially if you don't know what dosage to take for your body weight and height. I hope I never have that crap again. I did not expect it, cause the last tooth that had to be surgically removed by a different Oral surgeon used knock out drugs. Just remember that, Ketamine is a really freakin weird drug and scambles your brains for the time you are on it. The good thing aboput it, is that it wears off almost instantaneously when they recover you. Thankfully, it only took the doc 5 minutes to pry my wisdom teeth out of my choppers. Not bad and since I already have really good narcotic pain meds for my back, I did not feel any pain yesterday and today they are just a little sore, that's all! I had such good little Wisdom teeth for so long. But now it is "So long to them!" Good to be back after a day away! I was having SGT withdrawal. LOL It is time for me to pull up my rocker on the back porch and pour some lemonade and get into all those great SGT stories! I slept most of the day yesterday. Had a really cool dream about "House", the TV show doctor. One of my fave shows and actors! He is another cute one! :D:

I just finished a novel written by Hugh Laurie called "The Gun Seller." It's kind of a twisted spy novel, and really funny at times. He's a pretty clever guy.

I know what you mean..I had mine out many many (o.k. a lot) of years ago And all they used then was novocaine, and afterwords the only meds they gave you was tylenol with codine. It didn't help that I was in Guam and we didn't have air conditioning at the time! very rough recovery!

Susi! That was a SCARY story !!!! Thank goodness you made it thru ok, hope they never have to give me that stuff. Glad to see you have resumed your interesting posts!
