My wife's green thumb continues to expand. She just picked her first pineapple after raising it from a cutting.

I see a pineapple upside down cake in my immediate future. ;)

The downside is they take 18 months to grow.

I have three pineapples growing that started out as the tops of other pineapples, as grown by a guy who was renting a room from me. They sit in my back yard, in a pot, simply growing. They don't take much maintenance. We'll see how the next fruit comes out. In about a year now. Floridian pineapple!

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Try baking one, I hear it takes less time.

So, Hobie, what do you think of your new neighbor, Larry Ellison? Should we just call him the Oracle of Lanai? :D:

Heh! I believe his first move will be to change the island's name to Larry.

His first step will probably be to lengthen the airport runway so he can land his Gulf V. He'll also add docking facilities for one of his 200 foot plus boats.

The new owner must be here. There's a rainbow over Larry Island.
