I have come to believe that snow blowers are mankind's best invention. Made short work of the couple inches of snow on the three driveways I cleared today (our double drive, the elderly neighbors' single drive and another neighbor who offered to pay me to clear his double drive and sidewalk). Still had to do a lot of shoveling (the sidewalks and what the blower misses) but the blower helped out a LOT. It cut right through the berm the snow plow left at the foot of the drives. (Damn snow plows messing up my hard work ;) )

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

I used to dream of having a snow blower when I was growing up, but my parents had something that kept them from buying one: cheap child labor. :p:

That goes for more than just snow blowers. I remember when my kids hit their pre-teens our dishwasher broke down. My wife and I decided that there wasn't any reason to buy a new one right then when we had two kids that wanted allowances and this was a good way to earn one. It stayed broken until they went to college, then we decided that we didn't need anymore allowance and bought a new dishwasher. Man, didn't the ship hit the sand on that one. It has been 15 years since they graduated from college now and I still hear about it from time to time. So you have to not look at it as cheap child labor, but instead a very valuable life lesson that I'm sure makes you appreciate all the cool things you have now. Now don't you feel like thanking them for that?

My kids didn't think this was very funny, but my wife and I laughed until we were sick, and then talked about removing our dishwasher from the house for a few more years. The kids didn't seem too impressed with that idea either.

About not setting foot on Disney property, we sure fixed that, didn't we?

You kinda forgot to tell everyone what we did to your dad at the airport. What a great look he had on his face.

Oh c'mon BW, you really thought for a second I, nor those close to ktulu believed his statement? I am just upset we didn't bet. :) If he is within 200 miles of a Disney Park he will definitely go through the gates. Ya just can't trust a kid near a candy shop.

No MG, just a trip downtown ;)

And hey, I was within 200 miles in January of DLR, I didn't get to go :(

I know. I know about January. I so lost that battle. You almost rented a car to come up. You were working though, well, kinda. DLR and I lost to The Gas Lamp District and THAT club. ;)
