Another warm welcome from a former Pilot! :D:
Please take good care of Red for me, since she's probably one of the most misunderstood trains!

Red is actually a beautiful train, but I think she got a big head when she was used in every photo shoot early on.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

^^^ This. When I went on my solo trip in 2008, I couldn't afford Backstage Magic, so I took Keys to the Kingdom instead. It's pretty relaxed despite the warnings. They had us to a few places to sit down, and of course the lunch was great. I had a great time, but the best (and most tiring) tour by far was Zazu's Misguided Tour. Damn them for making him stop giving them!!!

I worked in the MK in Custodial and in the Spring 1991 WDWCP. The tunnels were easy to access in 1991. No one asked for id back then. I had to help a guest leave the tunnel who took a wrong turn looking for the restrooms. The food backstage was the same food on stage. All the food was still prepared on property. The rules were very strict. Even then castmembers were talking about a new theme park to be built which is now Animal Kingdom.

Wait just a minute, there was a time where the food onstage was the same as backstage?! Was it cheaper than the on stage food by a good portion? I just can't believe how crappy (and expensive) it is now, and how crappy Aramark is. Universal serves the same food that the guests get, and it's much cheaper backstage.

Yes Disney made their own food because they had no Aramark to provide that service in 1971 and later. They did serve the food from on stage at a higher price to guests and a cheaper price to castmembers back stage. Best example is the old plaza pavilion restaurant in Tommorrowland. They had the break room next to the kitchen and would serve the same food to castmembers at a discount price. The break room behind frontierland and below Adventureland veranda had ice cream machines and regular snack items.

I HATE Aramark. They rip cast members off big time. When I started it was so much cheaper to eat but now you can't even get a snack without it costing 10 bucks. I heard rumers this summer they lost the contract and were going away in november but that has come and gone and we still have aramark.
I hear universal has Aramark but its super cheap. I think venders hear the Disney Name and hear the cash register chiming away. I just hate that its with the cast members wallets. We already get paid next to nothing.

Amen to that! Their food is always ok or subpar, never great or even good, just edible and too expensive for what it is. I got sick of Subway quickly too, and it's more expensive than normal locations, which doesn't make sense, cause it doesn't seem too "fresh" to me.
Sometimes I'd rather starve myself than eat at that place.

My pastor used to work at Subway, and he will confirm that it's not fresh. Don't you just hate false/misleading advertising?
