So are you looking for a philbeag (great kilt) or a wee kilt? The great kilts are a pain to pleat and get into, but what a wonderfully useful piece of clothing/equipment! We use that tape with adhesive only on the edges in entertainment, especially tv. It is known as Tunnel Tape, used for taping down cables across traffic areas. It's very expensive, and available in some really wide sizes.
