Highway distances are the only thing I prefer measured in metric. The reason being that here the highway speed is 100kmh. So calculating the time remaining on ones trip is dead easy if traveling 100 kmh. Eh, just use the 100 figure. Of course no one actually goes that fast, more like 120-130kmh on the 401. Making the easy math less of an advantage.
