And this is different from normal Larry Ellison exactly how?

The views and opinions expressed in this post do not represent those of the Walt Disney Company. This post was written while off the clock and off WDW property. Caution: The moving rubber line is travelling at the same speed as you.

I should have said an even more deranged Larry Ellison.

Excellent. And the modified Apple logo at the end was a nice touch. :)

I saw that and found myself hoping someone will show it to someone in the company who would have the ability to make a change so that all future computers and iDevices would have that. I for one will never see another Apple logo without seeing that.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Zazu wrote: But to lower the US flag -- when Disneyland didn't lower it for Walt -- is a bit of an insult, and in the Parks, an affront to the principle that "The Show Must Go On".
Been pondering this statement for a bit, thinking about "different times" and about how Walt was viewed by my parent's generation versus how he is viewed by mine, but this morning I thought I remembered that the flags had been lowered after Walt's death. Which this link seems to support:

http://utahflagman.blogspot.com/2010/05 ... quare.html
Late in the morning of December 15th in 1966, somber cast members (Disneyspeak for employees) lowered the flag to half staff. Walt Disney had died earlier that morning. Cast members and guests joined in mourning the man who created Disneyland.
Doesn't sound like it was done for the same length of time, so my pondering still applies in that sense. My dad's generation viewed Disney's empire as "a Mickey Mouse operation" -- something trivial, unimportant. The generations that have come of age since Walt's death have a much higher appreciation for artistic accomplishments, and also recognize the impact Walt has had in other areas. Lowering the flags for Steve Jobs is good show; lowering the flags for Walt that long, and making a similar public statement about it, would not have been.
