believe me they do read those letters- and they do count.
i always write them after our trips but the last trip last year when i was traveling by myself a lot of really incredible CMs went out of their way to make my trip truly unforgettable.
i wrote six letters in total when I got home- one for each park and/or department and mentioned each cm by name.
those letters totaled 36 pages.
i got a phone call from a lady there at guest services who had compiled all of them together and said that she couldn't believe i went to the trouble, that the stories from my letters were being shared around and that it was making even the guest service cms who read them happy.
so yeah- take the time, even if you type it up and send it snail mail- DO send it snail mail. it goes a LONG way for the cast members you mention and the morale, I think, of the guest services cms too.
so many people will take the time to complain when something goes wrong. but so few, i know from working in customer service myself, take the time to pay a compliment or to say thank you.
it means a lot.
