Yep, they do! I've been to a few shows, but not since Peter left. I miss him with the band, but his new solo stuff is good!

Out of "deference" to the Navy, Walt Disney Co. has withdrawn an application to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for use of the term "SEAL Team 6," a company spokesman told The Wall Street Journal.
I wonder if Eiger got a late night visit from some heavily armed Navy guys?

Doesn't surprise me. I thought the Disney app to U.S. Patent & Trademark was simply strange or kinda not a Disney thing.

It may have been the case of some "eager beaver" rushing out to do this. You know, a sort of "it seemed like a good idea at the time" moment.

Great reply! I think you make a good point. All we can do is "assume" with Disney.

The only really good reason to do this, in my book, would be to prevent other less reputable companies from cashing in on it. Register all those copyrights, then transfer ownership to the Navy. That would prevent the tasteless use of the namer by unscrupulous marketers, protecting it in a way that no government agency ever would think of.
And if the Navy wished to licence say Rolex, to use Seal team Six in a marketing campaign, it could be done on the Navys terms.
Seems like a possible source of income for veterans programs, for example!
