Aww, too bad I didn't read this post *before* I went to disneyland the other day... that woulda been fun to try ;)
Actually one thing funny that happened was when me and my friend were getting in line for the jungle cruise, Mom and my brother happened to be going there too, and it was late and I was tired, and so when the grouper asked me how many were in my group I said "Two-- I mean 4, no 2, oh wait, (turned around) Mom are you with us or not?" :?

tell me, did you somehow miss the boat and hit the water?(pushed) was it on purpose, or did you really not know if you're mom was going to go as part of you're group.

Haha, well it would have been fun to miss the boat and hit the water, but no one pushed me. Well I never really stopped to think about it, I mean since we were doing the buddy system, they werent really part of my group, on the other hand, they were with us at that time, so I wasnt sure how to count it. Thankfully, the grouper didn't press the point, but just put all 4 of us on the boat, lol.

It has finally happened to me....
"How many in your party?"
"Two and three"
"so five then?"
"yes"
"ok, 2 in row 2 and three in row three, you want to make sure that you tell the total # so that we don't put you in two seperate vehicles."
i didn't think it would happen to me, but i suppose i derserve it for being stupid. may favorite part though was separating them the same way they had themselves already separated.

I just ask "How Many?" untill they give me a number. If that number is wrong then its not my fault that you said 8 and your party had 12. Next time tell me the CORRECT number and I will be able to group you accordingly. Good times good times. I can't wait to go back to my ride where we don't group.
IT'S MY HUNDREDTH POST!!!! GO ME!!!

When a guest tells me that they are "all of us" I ususally reply with "the entire line." Most of the time the guest realizes that I would have no idea how many are in their party and then tell me a number.

holy cow i had three or four asian tour groups of 25 or so, and at least two tour groups of 15+ that spoke english (thankfully) those were fun to group, but my favorite was as follows :( ok so this guy is in front a group that's just come from the film room, the station has been starving for a few seconds (which seem not alot of time, but when you're dispatching every 18 seconds, and five vehicles come trough and get sent empty, groupers ae happy) yeah so this guy is head of the pack, and into the story, agian...)
"how many?"
"alot"
"(to quote aliceindisguse) do you have a number for me?"
"i dunno, they're all (and kinds points up at the queue and people commming down the stairs) commming"
at this point both ends of this conversation are thing holy cow what an idoit
"are they all with you"
(ambigous answer of sorta words sorta body language)
to the person behind him "how many in your party?"
"two"
"ok row one"
in the mean time "frontman" we shall call him, has decided to mosey on over to row one, by himself
the guy was a single rider, and thought i wanted to know how many were in the line! th couple behind him, who had been there for the whole thing, kinda rolled thier eyes at me, and i gave them that sorta "yeah, i know, sad" look, and then we all got married and li... no that was a different disney ending, so then we all went about our daily stupities.
