Go ahead....call DYFS. ;)
I hate that people are afraid of discipline their children because they don't want to get in trouble. Go ahead call someone and see how it goes. I always tell my kids that as much as I love, defend, and worry about them; I also have no problems showing them who is the boss in this house. Parent's need to grow a backbone.

Had my first encounter with the new doors on the trams at DL last night, and I have to say that they're a damn good idea. Hopefully they'll keep SGs on board, and from doing some of their favorite tram tricks as already described in the thread....Yeah, I know, wishful thinking.

Amen to that. That's just how I feel.

And a standing O goes to..... Tinker Bell!!! :)

At least we share the same philosophy! (did I spell that right? it doesn't look right.....)

Anyway.....(sorry....it's Monday)....I've told my kids the same thing: "the reason I discipline you is because I love you". I don't want them being the brat that adults (and other children) can't stand; the one who expects everything and gives nothing. Not-uh....not in my house.

Love this!! I'm always telling my kids (and they recite it when I make them):
"It is not my job to be your friend. I have friends, I don't need you to be one of them. It is my job to make sure you grow up to be a responsible, productive citizen of the United States of America and if I have to beat your ass to do that, so be it." My youngest always follows this with: "The word of mom, Book 1, Chapter 1, Verses 1 to 2, Amen." (Laugh too hard, I can't hit her!!)
