You should try it after drinking a 12-pack, just ask Darph! I would never do that...

Oh my goodness I wouldn't even know where to START telling stories about Stupid Guest Parents and I only worked at Disney for a Summer. I was a custodian, and let me tell you, if you want to see the big bullies, hang out in the restrooms a while. You would not believe the number of parents who drag their kids into the restroom to have a "talk" (largely ending in a smack). One parent had a tired and sad little toddler who, as toddlers do, was messing around and touching things in the cubicle. "DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING! It's DIRTY!" this stressed the little kid out, so she tried to put her thumb in her mouth. I know this because I heard the Mum slap her hand away and shout "DON'T PUT YOUR THUMB IN YOUR MOUTH!" which just upset the kid more...and made her want to put her thumb in more...

All that was by far the hardest part of my job. I was 20 at the time, but I have quite a baby face, I could just SEE how it would go if I dared say anything to a parent!! During the "talks" I would REAAAALLY scrub those sinks and counters...sometimes almost in tears.

The ones who get me the most are the ones who keep their kids up past their bedtime. They're already overexcited, overstimulated, too hot, probably full of sugar and fast food, and now you're keeping them up hours later than they should be. And then YOU get mad at THEM when their behaviour deteriorates?! I'm a 21 year old adult and *I* come close to throwing tantrums when I'm that tired too!! Keep them up late once in a while for something big, a show or fireworks, but how about you take them back to the hotel for their nap that day?

I know a couple of things about parenting, I'm the eldest of 4, with an age gap of 20 between me and the youngest. I do a looot of babysitting and am more of a "mother figure" to my youngest 2 siblings than a sister. I know a thing or two about children with difficulties, my brother has severe ADHD and mild autism, so I know the difficulties some parents and children have. I know that their behaviour can be challenging through no fault of your own. I also know that some parents haven't heard of the GAC (a lifesaver for my parents, Disney wouldn't be possible without it). But that also means I can see when you're simply being mean.
