But the Government is not preventing you from going to Disney. You have the freedom and the right to go, as long as you follow the rules and can afford it.
Now I am sure someone will come along and try to cover this up with the word "privilege", but that would not be the correct word to use. Many people have the right to go to Disney, but can not afford it, so they do not get the privilege to do so.
Sorry but in today's world, the world "right" is not used enough. Peoples rights are being taken away as they are being covered up with other words like security and safety.

That's just it tho, Mr. M. A Right is not anything the Government doesn't prevent you from doing: A Right is what the Government GUARANTEES to you, under penalty of law for those who would take it from you.
You have the Right to your property, so the Government prosecutes theft. You have a Right to your life, so the prosecute Murder. You have the Right to your Liberty, so they prosecute false imprisonment.
If you are Denied Aceess to Disney, the Government will do nothing, because it's not your Right to go there. It's their Right of Private Property that says they can decide who to let in, and who not to, so long as it doesn't violate your Right against Discrimination on the Basis of Race, Religion, or Gender.

I think your a little confused. A RIGHT is exactly that, and more. Your view on what a right is and is not is the way most American's look at it, and is what makes it so easy for the government to take those rights away without the people even noticing.
You need to keep in mind we are saying that it is our GOD GIVEN RIGHT. The government has nothing to do with that, other then taking them away.
You have the RIGHT to agree or disagree, did he government tell you you had or did not have that right? No. There is no law on the books ( or even a TOS rule on this board) that says you have to agree or you have to disagree with these post. It is your god given right.
So with that right given to you, and to me, and to everyone else here, I leave you to your thoughts and feelings. :)
Take Care.

This is the part I have an issue with as I don't believe anything can be given by this so called god. Of course, I'd rather not start a religious debate on the boards, we've had that before and it wasn't pleasant(after moving to PMs it went quite well).

Ok, I agree with you an I will change the phrase.
It is your life given right.

The words 'rights' and 'privilege' get inner-mixed too often. To have a drivers licence is a 'privilege'. A credit card company gives you the 'privilege' to carry their cards and the 'right' to take it away at their discretion.

Yes, but you have the RIGHT to try to get a license, if you pass the test and all the requirements, then you get the privilege of having one. that's where most are getting confused.
In the example of the original topic. You have the PRIVILEGE of air lines offering peanuts. You have the RIGHT to even bring your own peanuts on a plane. The government is trying to take away that Right and Privilege.
You used to have the right to take a drink on a plane, or even have a bottle of milk for your baby on a plane. Now that right has been removed under the shroud of "safety" and "security".

Wrong. We could take bottles on the plane at the discretion of the airlines. In the event that the airline had decided they, as a private company with the RIGHT to decide what does and does not go on the planes which are THEIR PROPERTY, had decided they did not want to let you take a bottle on, then you would have not been allowed to, and the Government would be under no obligation to make them, because it's not a Right.
I know my rights. I'm very vocal about protecting them. For instance I have a Right Against Unlawful search and seizure, which is violated by our Government in the form of the Patriot Act.
THAT is loosing a right.
Not being able to take a baby bottle on a plane, is loss of a privilege.
