Wha???
Ok, even if someone didn't know that Goofy was originally called "Dippy Dawg" isn't it pretty obvious that he is supposed to be a dog judging by his floppy ears and long snout?
How could anyone thing that Goofy is a mouse??
That is so thick I don't even know where to begin!
Eh, Goofy is not one of those characters that you look at and think "OH THAT'S A DOG!"
Think about who they sometimes pair Goofy up with for a date. Clarabelle
Cow.

LOL, No, but for the average person to see Goofy with Clarabelle, one might assume Goofy was a cow.

The thing is, Goofy's nose looks nothing like a cow's (Clarabell's) nose. They are clearly not the same species.
Even though Goofy and Clarabell have often dated in the past, someone should tell him that she also occasionally goes after Horace Horsecollar.
She just can't make up her mind can she? ;)

And she kinda has a thing for Pegleg Pete.....at least in the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse version of the characters.

I'm sure Interspecies Dating is not really unheard of at Disney.....
Look at Belle and The Beast, Tia Dalma and Davy Jones, Princess and the Frog.......
There was A LOT of talk about Ariel and Capt. Jack Sparrow on a POTC Board! ;)

I am sure you are aware of this, but I am all for inter-species dating, and as I have mentioned, I have my eyes on a certain pangolin.

Also, in her most recent movie, ("The Three Musketeers") Clarabelle worked for Pete, so who knows, maybe she does indeed like to be around him!
