Just about. The sewer at my house backed up 2dys before. Involved backhoes,soil pipe cutters and electric powers snakes with root cutters. Thank goodness I worked at an equipment rental place at the time.

Wow! The worst that happened to me on my project was the garage door jamming open. Two pound ball peen hammer fixed that.

Hey, we haven't been busy on this board lately. Everybody out Christmas shopping, or putting in extra hours at work?

I was at DLR this weekend, Had a great time! :)

My first order of business was to inadvertently annoy an SG! Got there Saturday at 3pm, place was a madhouse,so me,hubby and son decide to get on train at New Orleans Station. We pull into ToonTown Station, where we were told that due to technical problems, our train would be evacuated and we could wait 5 minutes for another train to come. Bummer, but thought I'd NICELY ask if we could get in front of line for train for next one coming. I go to CM to ask, unfortunately, he was already being cursed out by "Helga", a severe-looking Nordic type, DEMANDING that he correct the problem NOW and going on how she was inconvenienced. I asked him my request nicely, and soon he was back to let us in the front of the line, so Hubby and I thanked him. Helga said something to me, but I didn't hear it. We ended up deciding to walk back to Main Street, so I asked hubby what she said. It is a good thing I didn't hear her. Hubby said she had told us, DON'T thank HIM, you should thank ME for going to the front of the line
Ridiculous, as she was trying to take some sort of credit for being the one "in charge" when it is the CMs who are making all of the good stuff happen! Honey, don't tell ME who to thank! :mad:
I was hoping to run back into her so I could piss her off some more :twisted:

Which engine was it? I'd have suggested they toss her into the firebox, but I hear that SG's put off an awful odor, especially when burned!

I was sick on Thanks Giving with the Swine Flu. Did do much. I missed 6 days of work. Tamiflu and tylenol helped. I am back to work now.

the old Adohr Farms delivery. You would get your milk from them, and they also offered buttermilk, chocolate milk, cream, etc.. That was good. But like the old Helms Bakery trucks that delivered fresh bread, cakes, doughnuts, etc., to you, they fell victim to housewives not wanting to wait for the breadman or milkman to deliver, and there were getting to be more grocery stores in reach--in my neck of the woods, anyway, back then. So the next thing you know, Adohr Farms is offering lotion, orange juice, dog food, etc., even bread. That, for me, was really confusing. Anyway, that's what helped kill off both Adohr Farms home delivery and Helms Bakery. They just stretched themselves too thin.

When I was a child we got our milk delivered by Adohr and our bread from Helms. Helms used to have the best cupcakes.
