It's hard to smell anything when you've got chunks of pepperoni and anchove pizza stuck in your beard.

While waiting at the AKL bus stop to go to Epcot, a SG who arrived at the bus stop the same time I did was annoyed about how long the Epcot bus took to get there (it had been not even 10 minutes). Up comes a MK and they said, let's take that bus and take the monorail, this is taking forever... because THAT would take LESS time????????? Hm, we waited 2 extra minutes for the 10 minute bus ride. They rode the bus for 25 minutes to MK, walked from the bus stop to the monorail stop, transfered at the TTC and probably arrived at Epcot well over an hour later.
I love it when things like that happen :) Like when driving 60 in a 55 and someone rides your butt, then goes flying by you like your stopped. You see them zooming up the road and about 5 mins later you get to a red light and they are sitting next to you. LOL I so bad want to roll my window down and ask them how much gas they just wasted to get to the same spot I was at.

As a matter of fact, you usually can't smell yourself. But it wouldn't be a bad idea to at least check your pits every once in a while. They should allow staff members to hose stinky guests off with a firehose with a soapy water mixture. And I mean full stream; so what if they get washed away....

I think Disney security should be able to take someone aside and mention that they may want to apply some deodorant, or perhaps take a small trip back to their hotel.
That would never fly up here in the land of the politically correct! We have a few immigrant groups who for cultural or religious reasons seem to refuse to use any sort of deodorant or antiperspirant. Ive noticed it at all economic levels, it does not appear to have anything to do with money. Even college profs and doctors seem to subscribe to the no deodorant philosophy. I can only guess it is a religious or cultural taboo to try and extinguish your pit funk.
I understand that some people are sensitive to the chemicals in the underarm products, but there are natural deodorants available, which are basically a big cube of salt That you wet and rub under your arms. It prevents the odor causing bacteria from growing, and works very well. The worst offenders seem to be young males, who can smell up a subway car in no time. This same group is enamored with AXE body spray ! So they smell like a cheap whore with BO !
We once had a guy in our workplace who refused to bath. He actually claimed to be allergic to water ! He smelled so bad no one would go near him, everyone was complaining. He was given a bar of soap and shampoo and sent home. The health and safety committee declared him a hazard, and he was not to come back until he bathed. They also informed him that he would be sent home any day he showed up smelly. It worked ! He overcame his water allergy and scrubbed before coming to work each day. Note that this was the employees and not management that took these steps ! And yes, he was an immigrant, from the UK !

Yep, definitely a cultural thing to some extent (although I've encountered plenty of stinky Americans at theme parks too). I suppose they think we're nuts for using deodorant, but it boggles my mind that they don't pass out from the smell. I guess you really do get used to it...hard to imagine tho'. I had a stinky guy get off Rip Ride Rockit once just as I was getting on, and his pits would have dropped a rhino in full charge. I can't even imagine going through a full coaster ride with him with his arms raised in the air.

 Now that has got to be embarrassing! In an place where there is air conditioning dear folks just take pity on other people's souls and noses. Sometimes it's so bad is impossible to handle.

CS Majors are the worst culprits.

I was walking along the Champs Elysees in Paris with a coworker and her daughter. We were being tourists and just taking in the sights.
I suddenly smelled a nauseating stench. I looked at her, she looked at me and we both said, "It's not me!"
It took a minute to determine it was a rather well dressed woman about ten feet away that smelled like she'd been dead for over a week. It appeared what is said about the French and their bathing habits is correct.

HEY ---
I was one of those. Ok when I was there it was ICS (Information and Computer Science). Nobody I knew smelled. Greasy hair maybe, but we would have kicked them out of the computer center if they stunk it up.

I was one of those too. I really think that reputation is undeserved. It doesn't matter a person majors in, they can still be clueless about hygiene.
