Care to share them? ;)disneyprincess1988 wrote:Just watched the video. Oh lord, what is this woman up to this time? I lived with a Harry Potter fanatic when I was in college, and even she wasn't as crazy about it as Linda is.
Believe me, I've got some interesting stories about her from SWW this year.

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Of course, my dear Jo. The first of which is that she waits a lot longer than 4 hours for a celebrity fastpass. In fact, she always gets in line at 7 p.m. the previous night and sets up camp outside the turnstiles with her million and one blankets and backpacks.joanna71985 wrote:Care to share them? ;)
Which leads into this next story: I overheard another guest saying that because of this, Linda doesn't shower for the entire weekend.

For Narnia! And for Aslan!

I can't help but think she's a kind of Borat/Bruno type character invented up by a witty comedian --playing up these obsessions to see how many people she can fool. I certainly hate to call her "crazy", cause these days people venomously demand respect and understanding for such behavior. Saying, "It's the only way they feel normal!!!" and that such people are completely harmless. Was also told she comes dressed character themed costumes to the parks. I thought that dressing up was only reserved for children 10 and under? Yet she is allowed? I kinda smell a rat somewhere... or a Mouse.
But I have heard of her from fellow entertainment CM's and she seems like one of those I'd turn on my heels and head in the other direction if I saw coming. Word has is that she keeps pics of her favorite CM's in huge collage. Flattering, I suppose ... but still...
For a while she apprently called herself Linda Efron - as if she were married to Zak. Thing is, she is old enough to be HIS MOTHER. I understand again, some ladies like em young - but again .... *shudder* Some love her, some are creeped out by her - I have never met her so I have no idea.
I read the book A Little Bit Wicked by singer/actress Kristin Chenoweth in which she has a chapter all about a rather obsessive fan who is alot like Linda. Always was at Wicked, always sending her pretty gifts like purses, dresses and shoes, letters, phone calls, - right down to knowing where she stayed when out of town etc. This fan even managed to sneak onto the filming lot where Kristin was filming a movie. After that, she freaked and had the woman investigated -- woman was arrested, all of the gifts were taken as evidence, and Kristin didn't need to fear anymore.

Yeah, I would love to know how she gets away with wearing a cheerleading outfit and other costumes to the parks, when there is an age limit.Sarah Magdalene wrote:I can't help but think she's a kind of Borat/Bruno type character invented up by a witty comedian --playing up these obsessions to see how many people she can fool. Speaking of the collage, she used to be obsessed with one of Peter Pan's friends (I don't think he is there anymore). She would write letters to him, and they were posted in the breakroom. I remember one specific day when I was working there- she somehow managed to get 2 cakes into the MK and brought them to the meet location! Crazy.

Oooh, cake! Were they for Peter and his friend? Now, a little goodie MIGHT make me warm up to such a person. ;) And really, I do enjoy the people who are truly enthusiastic about characters - like those cutsie schoolgirls from Japan who come all dolled up in their Mickey/Minnie/Stitch gear and give them gifts. They are adorable and I LOVE them! I have a shelf with Minnie and Stitch "fan gifts". But somehow, an adult well over a certain age - yeah yeah, "it takes all kinds" and "to each their own", it just does not sit right with me.joanna71985 wrote:

I guess I'm just surprised that she gets away with it all.
Now I'll admit --I can get enthusiastic about things I love. My music for instance. I love and adore soprano Sarah Brightman, and have painstakingly months before attending concerts if her go dress shopping for something special to wear. She had middle eastern themed show called Harem, so I got a full Arabian princess outfit to wear. Her latest show that came was called Symphony and I wore a floor length gown with my hair done up. I have also, though friends with connections, have been able to pass on small trinkets and notes to her. And guess who was second row center when she filmed her Silent Night segment for the 2008 WDW X-Mas parade?
Yes, I am a fan -but I also know boundaries and can separate reality from fiction.

I love the Asian Disney fans! There is this couple that have Mickey and Minnie puppets that they dress up. I've seen the blue YOAMD outfits at DHS, and MJJP outfits at AK. The puppets are so cute!

We had this adorable Japanese girl with her parents come visit Lilo and Stitch two days in a row. On both days she carried her two Stitch dolls dressed in cute outfits. One day they had a Boy Scout uniform and a traditional Asian outfit, and then the next day they were in a Tinkerbell costume and a Lilo dress. Sooo cute and the girl was very sweet - always ready with a gift from Japan for the characters. Stitch gave me his stationary set he got from her - yeah, I guess Aliens don't write many letters.joanna71985 wrote:I love the Asian Disney fans!
