When one of my friends had chemo after having her breast cancer removed. She did wear some wigs that looked like her hair was never missing. You will do fine. My friend starts chemo in a few weeks. She is a first grade teacher in the Santa Ana School district. She hopes to take a few months off. I was told that I was going to help her when she went to chemo sessions. I told her that I would be there for her. What can a friend do when your best friend needs help.

I just found out my friend starts her chemo this Thursday. Can you still work after having chemo or do you have to wait for a while? Thanks. :)

My patients suffered fatigue, nausea, and immunosuppression. I suppose there might be someone out there who can work in between chemo cycles (every 3 weeks as I recall) but I wouldn't count on it :(

WOOT! I'm so glad that they made it to you. You look fabulous in them I have to say! thank you again so much for the email. (((((hugs)))))
Oh and please ignore my PS on that email about Universal LOL Shows you how blind I really am at the moment I read your little profile thingy here on the left all wrong and missed the ginormous Universal avatar....Doh.
Get some rest and I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and sending lots of good vibes your way.
Big hugs!!!

PS I don't know if it would help for the pain you're having but I can't tell you how much music helps me manage pain, personally. I don't know if you're a 'music' type of person but I know I'd be absolutely done for without my iPod. Of course with what you're going through I'm sure an Ipod and good drugs would be better!!!

The drug they give to boost the white cells is created by a sadist. The massive amount of bone pain had me in a ball...
They could have given me drugs for it, they didn't and tomorrow, they'll have to answer to the doc...

ooooo, I know just what one you're talking about- my grandmother had it and I know it is just a nightmare. Yeah, they should answer for that and I hope that the meds will help a LOT!!!!!!!
I just wish there was more we could do- like hitting a magic fast forward button and getting the whole course of treatment over with for you.
