A couple of years back I ripped my right Achilles tendon in two battling a six-foot wall of flames with my bare hands (at least, that's the version my supervisor was told even before the Alpha Unit arrived). It did take nearly a year for a full recover, but I'm all better now (at least, from the knee down).
Hey, I have a restricted motion boot, right foot, size large, with all accessory pads, only been used once by an old conductor who no longer needs it. If you don't get free accessories with your surgery, PM me your mailing address and I'll ship you the boot.
Yes, you read me right. I'm threatening to give Wombat the boot!
Hmmm, Reminds me of the Simpsons episode when they went to Australia!
wanna play knifey forky?

Thanks again all!
Sooz, I may take you up on the offer -- I'll let you know. For now things are too hectic getting ready, plus my mom just had this same surgery last year. (Again, I blame her for my ankle defect! :) )
Zazu, I'll check and see if that's needed and PM you my address if I do. I'll certainly reimburse you for shipping!
You guys are the greatest!!

I would worry that any boot of Zazu's would have possibly been planted in some SG's butt!

just kidding, I'm sure there are no SG butt remnants attached! :p:

That, or we'll just take any excuse to get rid of the junk in our garages.

Sorry to hear that surgery is on the schedule Wombat but glad to hear they think they can fix it up (read the details- you will definitely have time to work on that virtual monorail and I can't want to see the results!)
Will be keeping you in my thoughts as you wait for the surgery and of course come Monday...
big hugs
