Hey, I'm just looking out for you!

So, after you get done with the Monorail, are you going to do Disneyland or the Magic Kingdom with the DLRR or WDWRR?

Scream!

Actually, I've already laid tracks for the MK Railroad to take a simple loop around the Magic Kingdom in my virtual monorail. I'm not building out all of the park(!), but I added it so I can perhaps have a train go by as I drive the monorail, to add to the realism. Riding the MK train itself would not be that realistic -- in fact, it would be kind of scary, since I have it go "behind" the backdrop scenery to complete the loop, so that from the driver's perspective you'd plunge into a wall of trees only to emerge at a drop-off that looks like every flat-earther's fear of the "edge of the world"!!

My next project? Probably the Dallas Light Rail.

Oh, that would be fun! I didn't get the game for my birthday, but I did get the resource (i.e. gift card) to purchase the game :) Now I need to find it at Best Buy, it is back ordered online, but says generally available in stores.

I have been messing with Microsoft Train Simulator and really like it, but it is ancient. I am um.. getting Trainz 2006 right now.

OMG that is the coolest thing I've seen in a very long time.

I bet Randy would've had something to say about this...

All I know is I want this program to be sold so I can play with it (the version you've created not the Trainz one!)

And the Contemporary looks like I remember it as a kid *sigh*

Amazing job! WOW.

Wombat, we need to get you to WDW for this. You need to bring a video camera, and as you ride along, I will give you information on exactly where speed changes, turns are and pylon numbers and stuff like that. While I see some things that are not exactly accurate (like a turn going into GF) and I am sure you would love to adjust the map with time, this is one of the most incredible recreations I think anyone could imagine.

Yeah, and you are uh, going to need an assistant to take notes as you hold the camera, just in case the audio is poor due to the microphone pointing forward and not back to the speaker (assuming that BW is piloting). I know this will be one of those boring tasks going over the same route, so I will volunteer to help you out...

I am absolute up for doing that, and taking as many assistants with me as possible -- just so long as someone else foots the bill!

Okay, gang, you've been patient. Here's a little video run around my own personal "World"...

Great video, although, I think the Horticulture department would be devastated at how sparse everything looks ... there's not even a floral mickey in front of the Main St Train Station! ;)

I personally would have also loved to hear more of the monorail announcements, and/or hear monorails honking as they pass each other.

(in all seriousness, this is amazing ... i can't even begin to think how much time it must have taken you to do it)

Absolutely beautiful. I think I should be able to get that video for you next week.
