Or we could use chocolate. I will bow down to the first person on this board who actually makes one of those. LOL I'd promise money for a pic of it but, guess what? I dont have any so you will have to be happy with my undying adoration. :D:
I am giving the recipe to Ralph! Watch it! Don't make any bets on this one. He is an adventurous chef! ;)

Moments later...I gave him the recipe and instructions and he IS GOING TO MAKE IT! I don't know when, but there will be photos. If I can manage to last that long, there will be video! Bacon Henge comes to the RalphnSusi household!

I love the comments people made..LOL

I just ate (yes I know it is 10PM my time) Beans and weinies (sort of bacon) with M&M's for dessert. Can that count as chocolate covered bacon?
OH MY GOSH! WE WERE THERE! We were at Marini's on the Pier in Santa Cruz when we went to California in April. I bought a shitload of candy and the flats posed with the clerk in the store! And they posed in front of the candy cases. I have to dig those pics out. I still have to post my album over at the Flats photobucket site..I will, I am so getting behind on my responsibilities...shirking my duty and all that razz...

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe it! I did not see chocolate covered bacon there then in the beginning of April. I am going to have to go back the next time we are there. We always stop for a night in Santa Cruz cause we can stay right across from the ocean. GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Chocolate covered bacon next trip in the Fall! WOW!

But I have had chocolate covered potato chips! If anyone has never had them and wants to try some, let me know. I can send you some from our famous chocolate store, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. The chips are good. Salty and chocolaty, just like chocolate covered pretzels. Love those too! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...Geeze, I cannot believe I was there! Chocolate covered bacon! :p:

Chocolate covered bacon in Santa Cruz?!?! I'm surprised the local populace hasn't risen up and burned the place to the ground.

I did send some of the stuff on to Wombat, though, so he and the rest of the sponsors can see where the flats have been. I haven't seen a Wombat trip report with the flats, though. Hey BRWombat, whatcha been doing with the flats?

When I was in Oregon recently I tried to stock up on some Mountain Bars, which I think are made by Brown & Haley but seem to be regional as I've not seen them elsewhere. Most of the stores were out of them and I came home empty handed. They have a new raspberry flavored one that is deeelish. I used to buy Sees Chocolates at the airport until my daughter-in-law introduced me to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory candy at a mall store in oregon. Wish I'd had the time to stop there and pick up some chocolates to bring home. Susi - I'd love to try a sample of your chocolate covered potato chips - I've never tried those and they sound yummy. :)

Um... what about this page, post #17... or the one after it, or the one two after that??? Sorry they're not as text-heavy -- I used the pictures to tell the tale for the most part!

Okay - I spoke too soon. My apologies. I should have checked the WW&MM trip report thread before I got on to you.
Loved your comments with the flats, by the way. Great pictures, too.

Okay, I will send you some. Send me your address again. Ralphie will make a trip to the local RMCF store and pick some up!

We have a RMCF store about a mile from us. They are all over town here as well as on all three concourses at the airport.

We have Sees as well. I LOVE Sees. And we have the Russell Stover Candy factory in town as well, a block up from the See's store in Cherry Creek shopping district. That's the La-di-dah area! They have them at the Boulder store too! Sorta like Bacon in Santa Cruz, huh hobie? Durn hippies...oh wait! I used to be one! If you're going to San Francisco...Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair...

You will be pleased to note that we are GREEN now, the brown has disappeared for a few months. All that brown you saw when you looked down is green for a bit... :) We have at least a couple green months here, til the Summer sun and dry air start to brown everything out. I love the green.

It was so green in Florida and to come back to Hell, er, Denver, and see green it was nice. But it won't last long. The prairie gets as brown as the Prairie Dogs real quick around these parts. hehehe... ;)

I liked Florida enough that I think I will move there. Oh wait, we already planned to move there. :p: I think I will move there twice, I like it so much! ;) hehehe...

When we were there, we looked at a development called Reunion which is about 5 miles south of WDW and we checked out Celebration as well. If we were to buy in Celebration it would be a resale, their inventory was down to 3new lots/houses left. We will check out Windermere next trip and some other developments.

I like Reunion, it has it's own water park and resort and a very cool pool on top of the main resort building that you can hang out at and see Spaceship Earth off in the distance and feel like you are at Skyy Bar in Vegas or something. The guy who showed us around said it is cool to watch the Disney fireworks from up there.

It has not been developed too much yet, there are some homes, mostly second homes for the really wealthy and they are still building the rest of it. It has sections of townhomes and smaller homes and then an area by the golf course  that has the richy rich houses. Not for us. I hate golf! It is really expensive too, some lots are at $200,000 right now and that is at the lowered rate with the bad market. Those lots used to be $400,000 and $500,000 just for the lot AND they are rather small lots, so most rich people buy two and build a big old mansion on them.

NOT FOR US! uh-uh...Such lofty neighbors would give me nosebleeds! Reunion is the high end of the spectrum amd not in the running for us right now. HOA fees are 500.00 a month, but they cut your lawns and do your gardening and such. Then add 350.00 to that fee to have use of the waterpark and amenities of the resort area.

However if they drop the prices lower and lower, we may have to take a look. When the prices bottom out on luxury homes and developments like that and you buy then, when things turn around, your value skyrockets and you end up with a house worth a LOT more than you paid for it. BUT, it would have to bottom out real low there at Reunion for us to buy. It is nice, but we are looking for something a little more down home and regular, not so high end! There ARE areas within Reunion we might consider, the smaller home section would be more our style. We want to get away from what we have here. It is just too much to take care of.

Anyway, we will look some more next trip and I know we will find something some day when we are ready to move. It is just nice to get an idea of what is out there and compare and look at different areas around Orlando and see what we like and where we want to be. I sure liked the area though, just driving around and seeing all that green...It made me happy to be there.

Palm trees make me smile! :) We don't have any here. :( We need a palm tree smiley???? Would that be a palm tree smiling??? we need a palm tree Zazu! :) she begged.... :o:

I WILL have a yard full of em someday or at least nearby, so I can look at them and smile.... :D:

HEY NOW! If you buy chocolate for one person you must buy it for everyone...LOL Either that or we will have to storm Whazzups house and lay in wait for her mailman to intercept him. LOL
