Stupid Guest Tricks

I've posted elsewhere about this, but I think it important to point out that when my 6 year old broke his arm in two places at OKW I could not have asked for a better response from Disney and the paramedics. Well, I guess the paramedics could have been a LITTLE bit faster - but I'm sure it just felt like forever to me 'cause my little guy was in so much pain. He fell off the ottoman in our bedroom, so it was his fault, as I told the cm who came to follow-up (although I did offer the opinion that lightweight wicker might not be the best, sturdiest choice in rooms where you know families will be). We spent the rest of our trip being a warning to others. Whenever someone asked what happened, we'd tell them that Jackson DID NOT LISTEN TO HIS MOTHER when she said to not climb on the furniture. I like to think we prevented other injuries!

I was going to say about the latex allergies too, AND this is exactly why I carry a small first aid kit with me at all times when in a large park. Had to run my older DD from one side of Sea World, OH to the other when she fell at the slide and skinned both knees. I made the suggestion that they might want to move the first aide a bit closer to the children's play area then a 5 minute walk back to the front of the park and put up some padding at the bottom of the slide instead of cement. Learned the hard way, Carry band-aids with me.

I love to mess with kids' heads when they aren't listening to their parents telling them not to do something unsafe. **CHUCKLE**...just remembered, boy about 9-10 at MILF(god I love to type that, it is so funny) in the queue swinging on the gate. His mom told him to quit, he did it again. So I pipe up with this whole long tirade about how hard the floor is ( I actually had him bend down and knock on it with his knuckles as proof) and how if he fell and hit his head and it bled they would have to call in cleaners and everyone would have to be a witness and Mike would be upset that his show had to be held up to take care of a bunch of paperwork, etc. etc.

His mom was behind him trying really hard not to laugh and Donnie is behind me snickering. HEy the kid listened and his mom did the "mouthed-thank you"

BTW....MILF (i wanted an excuse to type it again) is a hilarious show. Meghyn was "the child between 2 monsters"....LOL

Did you see the last episode of 30 Rock where they screened the final show of MILF Island? When a contestant gets tossed off the island they have to leave their top behind.

Too funny, I did a double take, as I was feeding the grumpy pups when the "fake" advertising came on at the first of the episode!! (did not realize it was a show within the show, until it flashed to the writers gathered around the T.V.)

A student fainted in my class today. I thought she was just really bored. But then I called the school nurse and she came with a wheelchair. It was just like working at the Park, but a lot faster!

I had a seizure once in class (before brain surgery) and had to be taken out in an ambulance. I don't remember any of it of course. But apparently I did punch a police officer when the EMT missed my IV three times. But my teacher handled it well and just held my head and DIDN'T try to put something in my mouth. Now I've been seizure-free for a couple of years, so people being good samaritans is something I feel very strongly about.

I'm sorry that you needed to have brain surgery and were having seizures. I guess that paramedic was too afraid after that to miss any more veins!

LOL, well it helped that I was unconscious. Maybe I can use that for sympathy at work...JK!

BTWs those who know me in real life keep that last post on the DL. I am worried if managers find that out and think I am dangerous (which I am not) then I will get stuck at something like the American Adventure which can't hurt anyone...

So I guess the moral of the story is to carry a basic first aid kit to the parks just in case. I never even thought about people with latex allergies, or that Good Sam laws don't apply to CMs on the clock.
