I recall reading one CM's explanation (maybe here on SGT), that Mickey uses a device that allows him to turn back time so that that he can spend a full day in each park visiting people. (Think Hermione Granger's "time turner.") So say you talk to him in the morning in Animal Kingdom and in the afternoon at the Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom may be where he spends his first time through the day, and he may not go to the Animal Kingdom until his second, third or fourth times through.Shorty82 wrote:...I have a question, what is the reason given to why Mickey and the other fur characters never talk except during shows while the princesses and other face characters do? ...
So... your visit with him in the afternoon may be the first time he sees you, but you've already seen him that morning. Likewise, he might recognize you at the Animal Kingdom, since he'd already met you at the Magic Kingdom ("later" the same day), but you hadn't met him yet. You can see the kind of confusion this creates. So, Mickey decided not to talk at these one-on-one greetings to keep things from getting any more muddled.
Clear?

Of course you don't see where she sleeps in her house. She's got a murphy bed! :D:

I was FP greeter at jungle during a pirates evac, so I was swamped with angry guests with re-ads and I swear, the FP line was just as long as the standby line, if not longer. Anyways, out of the usual "how long is the line?" questions I was bombarded with, here comes this lady with a p'd off look at me and I was about to answer "It's about 30 minutes, I suggest wait in the standby line, it should be quicker" but she asks a completely different question: "Is this ride safe?" I reply, "Yes, this ride is safe, we make sure everything's working every morning before we open, and if it isn't, we don't open up until things are working." She then tells me she got off of pirates after waiting an hour and a half to get evac'd off, and says "Well, after being taken off that ride, I'm not so sure about the rest of the rides here, how do you know these rides are safe?" "I just told you that each ride gets checked to see if it's in working order, and if it is, it opens up when the park opens up. If not, then it's closed until it's safe to ride." She then replies, "How do you know that one of these boats doesn't break down, hmm?" "I honestly don't know, but if one of the boats breaks down, it's no big deal. We just tug it back to the dock if one of the boats dies, everyone's safe, probably a bit bored, but completely safe." "Well, I'm not so sure about that, doesn't seem that safe to me" and then she continues going in the FP line. I was tempted to say "Ma'am, you're going the wrong way!"

I'm not a CM, but I guess you could say that Ursula stole their voices. :PShorty82 wrote:I have a question, what is the reason given to why Mickey and the other fur characters never talk except during shows while the princesses and other face characters do? I know the characters and their attendants have to be asked that at least every once in a while.

Being a concierge, I get asked some pretty weird stuff. My favorite this week was, "If the adults in our group don't want to go to the Pirate Princess party, can we just drop the 7 year old off?"

You could always answer, "Disney prefers to leave the answer to that question to the really bad fan fiction."Sarah Magdalene wrote:A little girl had asked Mickey if he shared a bed with Minnie. He kindly gestured they both lived and slept in separate homes.
