I have to say, though, as scary as it was that someone would do that, she never once strayed from her lane.
My wife would do that while I'm driving. The eye liner always freaked me out, I warned her that she could lose an eye if we were to get hit or hit a pothole or something.
I saw a woman reading a paperback book once. I rode next to her looking over at her every once in a while to try and get her attention, she never looked over. Just an occasional glance up. This wasn't even on a freeway

The other day I encountered a stupid driver though not quite as bad as some of the stories here.
I closed the store and was on my way home from work so it was dark. I was in the left lane on a four lane road with a median and a car suddenly came out of a side road on the right and headed for the median cut making me hit the brakes hard and suddenly he slowed way down while still in my lane making me hit the brakes even harder. The car in the right lane and a little back also had to hit his brakes. I saw him flash his brights at the idiot and I was leaning on my horn (the horn buttons are in a good place to hit with my thumbs while bracing against the wheel in a hard stop).
A few months ago I was nearly in a bad accident due to a stupid driver. I was on the same road as above but heading the other way and a few miles down from there. I was in the right lane and there was a black SUV in the left lane a little ways ahead of me. I look in my side mirror and I see this car coming up in the left lane VERY fast. I slow down a little to put more space between me and the SUV in case the car tried to cut over and kept my eye on him. I'm glad I did because the car does try to cut over, making me slam on the brakes. It hit the shoulder and suddenly veered left, hitting the median curb and flying across the oppsing lanes and wound up sitting on the opposite shoulder. I pull off and fumble for my phone to call 911 when I remembered as this was happening I passed by a fire house and thought I saw out of the corner of my eye firemen running inside. I run down the shoulder and see a lady come from the fire house and towards the street and I yelled to her asking if they (the firemen) saw the accident. She told me they had and at that time one of the fire trucks pull out, head down to the next intersection and U-turn to get to the car.
I talk to the lady a minute and she tells me the firemen are going to want to talk to me so I ran across the street and headed to the car. I find out that the driver and one passenger had run off after the accident (the firemen assumed they were wanted). There was a teenage girl who was in the car but she stayed around. I see that the driver's side rear wheel had sheared off and went flying somewhere. A couple of firemen go looking for it and find it a LONG ways off the road, especially considering it sheared off when it hit the median curb.
When I say the car was going 90 to nothing it's not an exageration. According to one of the firemen who saw the accident if the car wasn't so heavy (an old Crown Vic, 80's I believe) it would have flipped when it hit the curb and I believe it. I was shaking for a long time afterwards. I was glad I had left for work way early to have time to get a relaxing bite to eat or I would have been way late. I had enough time to get a quick bite to eat and to just relax and calm down for a few minutes before having to be at work. I would have called in and said I was going to be late if I didn't have time to eat as I just had to calm down from the accident. I was shaking for hours after that happened.
Thankfully nobody was hurt and no other cars were hit though a car coming the opposite way had to slam on her brakes to avoid an accident.

the funniest thing I ever see while driving at WDW is when I'm driving the misses to work at the All Stars ... just before the exit off of Osceola Parkway to All Stars/Blizzard Beach, we usually see some sg trying to make a u-turn in the grassy area .... unfortunatley, for them, this area is almost always very muddy and they end up getting stuck ... always good for a laugh

To me, that's really scary, as it means she does it a lot.

I actually had a manager on my bus the other day (at my request, thank you to Jason for riding along) and we watched it happen. From a car, you can't see the standing water very well... but we had a good laugh as he got in, got stuck, spun his tires and within seconds was up to his axles. He sat there a good few hours.
My favorite was over on Epcot Center Drive, I watched a Maingate
BUS do that. Took two Hughes bus wreckers to get him out of the mud. I drove by multiple times just to take pictures.

Coming home on the highway, they're doing a lot of construction in the stretch near my exit. At the start of the workzone, there's almost always a state trooper parked with his lights on, more as a preventative measure than to pull anyone over. People tend to slow down when they see the flashing lights (and the construction zone limit is down to 40). With each new traffic pattern, the troopers have to find a new location to park, but a common one is in a grassy patch between the highway and an exit ramp.
As I approach one evening, I see a cruiser parked *across* that exit ramp, blocking it off. (Not my exit, thankfully) As I get closer, I realize that there's a second cruiser in the grass parked perpendicular to the road, and a tow truck on the exit ramp, hooking up to the cruiser. Seems simple, the car broke down while parked there on duty. Nope. As I pass, I realize that the trooper had *beached* his car on a mound of dirt and needed a tow. I can just imagine having to call THAT one in... :D:
I knew that the car would be gone by the time I circled around for another pass on the highway to take a photo, but I quickly got off and drove around to an overpass that looked down on the scene and was able to grab a quick shot from a distance... ;)

Can you imagine if he discovered that only when he tried to take off after a speeder? I wonder what would be the first word to come from his mouth?

Bill Cosby said it best. When in an accident, first you say it and then you do it. :D: Something similar would apply. On the other hand maybe the word would begin with F and when his superior heard about the incident, he would be. :D:
