Thanks for your kind words. The next time you are in DL or WDW and really appreciate what a CM does, please feel free to drop a comment (or 2 or 3 or 10) at City Hall :)susislicker wrote:I defend CM's to the death! They are hard working and their "job" is NOT easy, they have to entertain, keep a long running list of factoids to answer all SG who cross their paths and also create the magic for EVERYYONE in the park they come into contact with. Not an easy task!

It just pisses me off, but usually we have such a great time with the CMs that I don't give it much thought til later after the trip. And we have special friends who work concierge at D-Land Hotel who treat us like family and we love them and they make our day when it has been tiring or aggravating or annoying. We KNOW they always have a ready smile and a warm hug if we need one or just a genuine chat!
Thank you to all you CMs who deserve the best the world has to offer you! :bouncemic Because your's is a tough boat to row! After all, Isn't it all about the magic and :mickey2:

Re: Stupid passhole tricks
I've never had a bad experience at a Disney park, and I've seen stuff that needed to be painted, a dirty bathroom, full trashcan, had to wipe down my own table, etc. It's almost as if they go looking for problems so they can bitch about it on the Intarweb. You're on vacation, don't sweat the small stuff!

~I myself, have had that experience of being shoved aside in lines or for the monorail front cabin because as the passhole said to me, "I have an annual pass and we have a right to be in up front because we pay more for it than you!~
Yes sir, and that entitles you to our grand SGT award where you will be forced to dance in A Small World until your head explodes. As for the rest of your family, we shall stand them on a platform with large signs around their necks saying "Yes, I am a passhole, don't be like me or you will be joining us on this stage to be laughed at too."

You mean you never been runover by strollers and/or scooters?ktulu wrote:I've never had a bad experience at a Disney park
Never had your back thrashed by idiots on Autopia?
Never got sunburned and/or heat stroke?
Never fell?
Never been plowed into by a rogue guest who is running in a crowded path?
Never pinched, bruised or cut a body part?
Never lost your glasses or contacts?
I got a long list of things that have happened to me in parks, 98% not CM related at all probably. Wow like how do you get so blessed as to have never had a bad experience. I am shocked.

Re: Stupid passhole tricks
Susislicker, your latest post here reminds me, to a degree, of my very first post I made about SGs doing the most ridiculous things to CMs. It was so much of a shocker that I felt I had better put my two cents in the matter. It was in the "No Questions" topic under the WDW section.
Despite what the CMs have to contend with lately in any of the Disney parks, it just seems that they don't and WILL NEVER get enough credit for what they do as an entire group: make the guests' stay there in any one of them a "magical one" for those very guests! It never ceases to amaze me how these kind of SGs can try to use very excuse in an updated book to get things to go their way. I think the sun is getting to some of those SGs!

Re: Stupid passhole tricks
Churchy, It depends on how you define "bad experience". Let's look at your list:
You mean you never been runover by strollers and/or scooters?
Run into? nope. I did have an idiot park his stroller, with child in it, behind me at knee level while I was looking at something.
Never had your back thrashed by idiots on Autopia?
Nope.
Never got sunburned and/or heat stroke?
Nope, sunscreen and I was raised in southeast GA. I'm used to it
Never fell?
nope
Never been plowed into by a rogue guest who is running in a crowded path?
Nope
Never pinched, bruised or cut a body part?
Nope
Never lost your glasses or contacts?
Nope
None of these are things that I would classify as a "bad experience" in the parks.
To me "bad experience" means poor customer service, shoddy maintenance, filthy conditions (that would be filthy beyond reason such as Food everywhere, chewing gum stuck to everything, etc). In other words, things that the park managment and staff actually have control over.
None of these things have ever happened to me at Disney.. Six Flags on the other hand..

No strollers, never got hurt by being rear ended on Autopia (did laugh about it though), got sun burn, but that was my fault not Disney's :)mechurchlady wrote:You mean you never been runover by strollers and/or scooters?

Never fell, never been plowed into by a running guest, they'd just fall, I'm a big guy :) Never been pinched, bruised or cut (my wife did rip a toenail off at Typhoon Lagoon, but she was not careful getting into a tube, again, not Disney's fault and it didn't ruin the vacation, in fact the CM's that helped us were awesome!) Never lost my glasses, I don't wear contacts.

We ALWAYS stop by City Hall and tell them what a GREAT time we had and how it was made better by rthe CM's who really made out trip worth it. The CMs are a HUGE p[art of a Disney trip and we have had only a couple bad experiences and I can tell you once we reported the problem, it was taken care swiftly and with careful thought. I appreciate everything the CMs do because withput them, there is no Disneyland and WDW! It would be just another bland entertainment park.Wizard69 wrote:Thanks for your kind words.
