"That's discrimination!"
"No, it isn't. The parking lot is closed to EVERYONE! Have a magical day!"

Breakfast wasn't TOO bad there... although I preferred the one at Kona Cafe or Tusker House :)

Warning- I had no funny answer. But we all got a kick out of the question.
Writer's Stop
Female Guest approaches me- "Are there more books upstairs?"
Me: "Do what?"
Guest: repeats question
Me: "Um, there is no upstairs" Openly gives her a funny look.
Guest walks off saying something about just wondering, thought maybe I missed something.. She wasnt mad or anything though. But she sure missed *something!*
For those of you who have been in my shop, where would the upstairs even appear to be? The store isnt that big! My fellow CMs and I were trying to figure out where she came up with that...
Also, if anyone has a humorus comeback that I can use next time..I'm sure it will happen again...

Here's your comeback...
"Sorry Maam, as you might have noticed, this is a building that has a larger inside, than an outside, so, while it may look to you like we have an upstairs, we actually are larger than the space time continum itself, and therefore, there is only one level to the building, making it that we have no upstairs. Thanks."
She might just get that.

"Sorry ma'am, we did have books upstairs but the management decided it wasn't very cost effective to let their resale value slip. You know, with all the damage caused to the merchandse due to rain, sun, and so on that they were exposed to on the roof!"

After reading some of these, I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one getting directions to Universal questions. I got 'em all the time in Monorails.
Guest: Where's the monorail to Universal?
Me: There isn't one. You have to drive there - it's not a Disney park.
Guest: So there isn't a monorail that goes there?
Me: None whatsoever, but I can give you directions if you're driving.
Guest: That's terrible! They shouldn't make you have to drive yourself to the park.
Me: It's a different company's park. Would McDonald's provide shuttle service to the nearest Burger King?
Guest: I didn't realize Disney was so against people going to the other parks.
Me: I'm not against it at all. Universal's a lot of fun. I'll even tell you how to get there, but there isn't a monorail there.
Guest: Well there should be! (walks off in a huff)

And a certain someone (Not on these boards) wonders why I hate stupid guests so much. . .

Non-Disney related, but that's good because then it would've been a CM HYS...
At a local MicroBrewery where a sign is posted just inside the door: "Answer the Question of the Day and get a Free Pint!" The question a few days ago was "Who was the first person to submit a typed manuscript?"
Me: Hey so can we take a stab at answering the question of the day?
Waitress: Sure! What's your guess?
Me: Well, we talked it out and we think it's Samuel Clements [sp?]
Waitress: No, I'm sorry, that's not right.
Me: Well, I guess the question is worded weired, are we counting the printing press? Was it Guttenberg?
Waitress: Nope.
<at this point all three people at my table are just shouting ridiculous answers and being told 'no' to all>
Me: Okay, we give up...who was it?
Waitress: Actually, it was Mark Twain.
Me: In that case, I'll have the Eisbock <beer> and Here's Your Sign!
For those who, like this wonderful waitress, don't know: Mark Twain was the nom-de-plume of Samuel Clements...

Happy 4th...and what a day it was ;)
So I am heading out on the bus to westclock tonight and we were talking about how stupid the guests were being today (yes even more-so than normal).
A girl related a HYS moment from TMRWLND:
Guest to Custodial CM: Where is the exit to the park at?
CM: Down main Street past the train station.
SG: No I mean where is it now. When we came in we came in here in TMRWLND
CM: No it has always been in fornt of the train station
SG: Look we all know the park is on a turntable, I want to know where the exit is at now.
This went on for 15 minutes I guess until a manager came up and the whole conversation was repeated.
SG is getting really irate
MGR: I'm sorry your right the park does rotate, but right now for the next 15 minutes the exit is located on main street past the train station so you better hurry!
