Re: Here's Your Sign: The Disney Saga
I knew it!
Zazu will know what Im talking about. The point of changing the maps was to make it eaiser to understand the description of rides.
Translation=We'll make dumb the descriptions down to meet the IQ level of many guests.
-it's A Small World: An indoor boat ride.
-Indy Speedway: Drive a race car
-Buzz Lightyear: Indoor interactive game
-Pirates: A scurvvy boat ride.

Pirates Of The Carribeans - boat ride through a Pirate's life

Re: Here's Your Sign: The Disney Saga
It wasn't the decsription of the rides that confused me (since I didn't read those), it was the way the numbers and letters are placed on the map. Before I had found the ABC commissary counter service at MGM!!! I almost starved to death!
And for some rides it wasn't too clear what the entrance was.
It could also be I didn't see too well because of the Florida sun, but still... Usually I'm not THAT stupid

When:Yesterday, during the rain
Where: the Writer's Stop
Guest walks up to my counter, picks up a map, looks at me and says: So is this, like, the map?
Me: No ma'am it's a rain poncho.
[not my actual answer. *sigh* it was crazy enough in there without me being sarcastic.]

Sounds like a response I would have given.CoffeeGirl wrote:When:Yesterday, during the rain

(completely un-related PS: If "CoffeeGirl" is who I think it is, I need to call you soon, like a few days ago, it's been far too long since we've talked)

You might stave to death even if you find the ABC Commissary easily. :barf: :sick:sandravb79 wrote:It wasn't the decsription of the rides that confused me (since I didn't read those), it was the way the numbers and letters are placed on the map. Re: Here's Your Sign: The Disney Saga
Here's one that happened today...I didnt have a sarcastic answer though..
Guest: You can only buy the Darth Vader Goofy's at Star Wars Weekend, right?
Me: Yes Sir, thats right.
Guest: And where is it that you can get them?
Me: Wicket's Warehouse (went on to tell him where it was)
Guest. Right then. Can I get one now?
Me:
No sir. Only at SWW. [You just said that yourself! argh]
I went backstage to find that I wasnt the only CM having that trouble with Guests. Some still wanted to know if Wicket's was open now. One CM said she was telling them yes and giving them directions. That cracked me up. We almost had a riot because a guest saw one of the SWW tshirts and demanded that he buy one even tho they are SWW exclusive and we are not allowed to sell them. Sigh. But it was fun! :D:
