Happy birthday Lady U! You're the only one I know who has their birthday closer to Christmas than I do. :D:

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. And Hobie, you can't get much closer than me, I was born about 9 pm, so even going by hours, there's not many closer. :)

Re: The Birthday Thread
For those of you born that close to Christmas, do you celebrate your half birthday?
One of my step-sons dated a girl that was born on December 24th. Because she was always getting the 'ol "double" gifts, her parents started celebrating her "half-birthday" in June. She carried that tradition on into adulthood.
She said that her parents told that story, that to avoid "cheap" relatives they thought it up. But the story they told said relatives was that they didn't want their daughter confusing the reason that they celebrated the holiday season, with her birthday.

Re: The Birthday Thread
Nope, never needed to. I have a cousin who was born exactly one year after me and lots of other family members born in December, so my family is just used to shelling out for birthday gifts in December. It actually worked out to my advantage when I was a teenager, I got one double gift, but it was a stereo, so really I got a better gift than I would've if I didn't have my birthday and Christmas so close together.GRUMPY PIRATE wrote:For those of you born that close to Christmas, do you celebrate your half birthday?
