My Previous post went POOF....

Very Sweet Hobie and Corey.

I live down the road from Boone's Animals for Hollywood, who provided some of the critters such as Jack the Monkey in the POTC movies and the rats from the remake of Willard. I would go visit them, but it would probably result in some sort of Police escort off the property  I did get to see some of the animals when they escaped one day, don't worry, just a goat, a sheep and a pony who were escorted home by someone else.

He's not. I clipped the pic from a CNN series on dogs in the snow. He's a happy doggie.

I think Hobie might have some sort of myocardial infarction(spelling Disneymom?) if there was that much snow at his house. Could be a bad day for all of us if the world saw that kind of snow there. Beginning of the end type stuff.

You may see a "happy" doggie, but, I see one that, if he could talk, would be screaming to it's owners to let him the hell into the house before he freezes to death. Look at his face, that is not a smile. :old:

If you have iBooks, search the store for "Saving Mr. Banks." There is a multimedia "book" available for FREE from Disney with a lot of behind-the-scenes material -- not just on the new movie, but on the making of Mary Poppins and more info on Walt, Mrs. Travers, and everyone else involved. VERY interesting. Snag it now, because who knows how long it will be available!

The current weather report is calling for "dangerous" thunderstorms this afternoon with hail. There's a first time for everything but hail in Hawaii really takes the cake. I'll get pics if possible.

He looks like a happy poochie because of his flying run. If he was my dog I'd have him bundled up inside of my parka (if I still owned one) as soon as he showed any signs of getting cold.

I'm sure that some dogs DO like playing in the snow for limited periods of time, but like me would retreat to a warm comfy spot in front of the fireplace as soon as possible afterward  :coffee:
Myocardial Infarction is correct.
Hail, Hobie? It will be hard to scooter to the Hyatt today

Dogs are such adaptable creatures. Our two have no problem with the snow at all. They are content to go out and sit or lie in the snow without a care in the world. One does dislike rain, but that's a different thing. He's not big on getting wet at all. Of course, after sitting on the bank in the snow for a half an hour, they will meander in and wander around in no distress. Just start up a gas fire place, though, and they'll be plunked right in front of it until they are panting. They're just very happy in general.

Getting there isn't the problem. Getting back up the hill is where it would be interesting.

I just looked at the weather radar. It's showing a brown blob over Molokai. That must be the thunder storm. Usually severe weather is shown in shades of orange and red. With the trade winds blowing dogs off of chains it looks like the hail will miss us. Hyatt, here we come!
