I have a copy of the Gousha map of California, and in Riverside County, there is (or was) a locality named Hell. Looked it up on Wikipedia, and it said back in 1954 a guy, his wife and son started the town. It was just them, population was 4 at most--probably had somebody running the store, bar and gas station. They left in the early 60s, place was plowed up in 1964 to make way for Interstate 10. But you can still go to Hell, if you really want to, though there isn't much to see....
Apparently, Hell was approximately 29 miles west of Blythe.

Wouldn't be the first time. Emporium seems to find a few babies forgotten now & then.

I went to that Hell in 2008 during my Panama Canal cruise. It"s basically a very tiny gift shop run by a crazy old man with a cheap devil cape. And yes, during my all too brief visit (less than 30 minutes-stupid tour!) I wrote out as many postcards I could just so my friends/coworkers could see I was in Hell.
At least this Hell had a nice beach. :D:

I don't know but up here in the barren wastelands of Pennsylvania, we've got the lovely scenic village of "Devils Half Acre" :D:

Not sure where this pic was taken, none of the sites I checked in Google image search have where the photo is from.
Last night I'm sure I found where this sign is. In front of DisneyLand on Harbor during One More Day.

I think I saw that, too, as I walked to the Katella parking lot because it was faster than taking the CM shuttles. (Usually it's the other way around.)

Just how I wanted to end my hectic day standing on my feet. None of my breaks were long enough to let me rest.
