We've got all kinds of interesting words. Many that I still can't pronounce.Big Wallaby wrote:I didn't know Hawaii had words like "tract".

The one that bit me woke me from a deep sleep. I now am paranoid about any blanket touching the floor for fear that one may climb up again.hobie16 wrote:I think they're regular centipedes that come in the house. I've only been bit once. It burned for about 24 hours and hurt like hell. If it lasts longer than that you're suppose to go see a doc. The one that bit me? He discovered what a Raid shower was.
That one, though, ended up in an arena (well, really just the floor where I could watch it and make sure it couldn't get away) with my cats. Nothing like a bit of torture followed by death to teach a no biting lesson.
If I could have figured out which side was it's head at 3am, I would have set it up on a toothpick as a warning to any other centipede that may have been around.

Chickens are the best defense. They love to eat 'em.

Good to remember: I need a chicken.

Don't get a rooster. They'll wake you up at 3 AM.

I am not usually home at 3 anyway. Should be okay. :D:

I already have enough poop to clean up around the house, and chickens just don't keep you quite as warm in the middle of the night. They're not big cuddlers.

Not sure I would want to cuddle with a chicken anyway.
