Stupid Guest Tricks

We do that at EPCOT all the time. It tends to be easier to walk. For some reason I never really do it at TTC, though.

Often it seems like they are only running 1 tram at a time at Epcot, except for really busy days, and it really does take longer to ride the tram than to walk. Has it always been that way?

Uh, I'm very worried if your tram engines are louder than our awful things. They rattle and clank something awful, especially in the cold. There's one particular tram that has a really bad idle, it sounds like almost the whole chassis is rattling. They may have been quieter when they first were put into service, but not so much now.

I never ride the tram at Epcot. The parking lot is shallow enough to not need to. At the other parks it depends on where I'm parked at and how crowded the tram area is. I've walked in from about the farthest row at DAK before as I had just missed the tram and the next one was a ways away. Beat the second tram by a mile. I've also walked in from the farthest lot at the TTC when I could tell there was no way I'm getting on the next 2 or 3 trams, the loading area was so crowded.

True, it does depend on how many people are waiting for a tram. I'm actually more likely to walk at the end of the day since I don't feel like waiting.
Most of the time we never get to a park before, oh noon or so, so there isn't much wait in the getting on the tram department.

Y'all are wussies. I remember when the DL parking lot trams were pulled by great big Fordson tractors. Talk about noisy!

The blue and yellow ones? I thought those were Harlans..unless you're going back farther than that....

We still have the the old yellow/blue tram tractors (well, at least one). M-23 is the last one I know of and is still sitting backstage, its used by custodial. It's now known as a "mule" for tugging and the like, along with the rest of the Harlan tractor fleet in the park.

In Hollywood Studios, there is a tractor that is used in case a parade float breaks down. It says BINFORD on the side :D:

That must be the Binford Tools model 3000. It's got a Roots type type supercharger and Hilborn fuel injection.
