So, on top of new droids, we got some new TOYS for Star Tours, too.

Say hello to the StarSpeeder 1000 Playset. $55. Compatible with Hasbro 3.75 Inch figures. I am BEYOND excited for picking this up. I've wanted a StarSpeeder that was in scale with my Star Wars figures probably ever since I went on Star Tours when I was a kid, and now I have one!

Side notes: This thing is BIG. Pictures DO NOT do it justice. Originally going into the park with 2 in mind, I had to re-think my strategy after seeing how big this bad boy is in hand(s). The R2-D2 looks a little dated, but for a free fig/slot filler, he gets the job done. I'll be displaying mine with a different astro droid every month, I'm sure.

BEYOND pleased. This will of course be a Christmas present, but I still am super thankful I managed to get one. ONLY available in Star Trader as of right now, World of Disney in Downtown Disney DID NOT have these in stock, and were unsure if they were going to carry them.

It only took me a couple of weeks to see all the different worlds. I went during the soft opening week (not too many people were boarding then) and on the official opening day. I even got my Star Tours Galactic Passport stamped a couple of times. I like that they keep the old pilot droids for queue entertainment and the pre-boarding movie has a few funny moments in it. The best part is the 3D as it really makes the ride more realistic.

^ The Pre-Boarding video IMO is pretty funny. Lotta droid action too. I like seeing all the different astromech droids rolling about in the scene, and C-3PO's acting just makes me chuckle every time. Anthony really nailed 3PO's fussiness for the attraction.
