LucyintheSky wrote:I had that happen to me a couple times. Neither time was I being grumpy, I was just busy and wasn't smiling. The SG in both cases were just walking by, and actually stopped just to come up to me, and get right in my face. I didn't get the weird gesture in the OP, but they sort of pushed up the sides of their mouths, and said, "You need to smile!" or "You're supposed to be smiling."

In both cases it pissed me off because of the guests' attitude about it. They were both very condescending and demanding, acting like they were giving me an order. Not cool.

If a guest truly wants to try to cheer up a CM, stick with a friendly greeting or a simple "thank you".

Yup,I get the "You look Grumpy/tired"thing all the time, except when I'm at DL (as a GUEST)
People must be brainwashed into thinking that everyone must look as happy as all the women pushing laundry detergent on the commercials- Hello, I am CONCENTRATING!

Back in the day we had a bad supervisor who gave a good friend of mine a written reprimand for "looking bored" on a (boring) attraction.

It will be a while before they can get me to smile. I had my sinus surgery 2 weeks ago. When I smile, my face starts to hurt. I will have to wait for the swelling goes down before I smile. :(

Yup, I remember, I love that episode. He works at some crazy Disney rip-off park where all the employees are brainwashed. Roseanne even makes a comment about it being a crappy Disneyland wanna-be.
