What does this symbol mean?

How does the pin thing work for the CM's anyway? When my kids walk up to you and trade with you in the mornings, you guys have some really cool pins....every morning. Do you just have a slush of pins in the back that you trade out for some 'good' ones each morning? What do you do with the crappy ones? The non-Disney ones? Don't tell me that you don't take them, because I know my kids have traded CM's and got crappy ones and I encourage them to trade them back to a CM again. Not that they always do it. :p:

CMs can refresh their lanyards daily backstage.

Some do refresh as often as they choose. Many times transitional CMs are given this task.

It is true that sought-after pins may be found if you get to trade with CMs earlier, but it is very individual- I tend to pass up the Princesses,for example,unless I see one that will make the perfect gift for someone. Lilo and Stitch are not safe from me! ;) :stitch:
I'm probably repeating myself,but I read a blog from someone who had introduced their child to pin trading, and it just tickled the kid just to trade the pins over and over,not to keep,but to just have the fun of trading and meeting CMs. I really liked that. :)
I understand that non-Disney Pins are taken and melted down....

Suppose you (CMs) have a pin you just got from a guest that you like....do you get to trade it out with one of your own and keep it?

My son (6 years old) loves to trade. He trades over and over again. Some CMs have the "mystery pin" put on backwards so you can't see it. He thinks this is great fun. He will trade with CMs like that too. He has a few that he makes "mystery pins" and will talk to the CM, telling them that they are going to be so excited when they see what they traded for, etc. He cracks me up. We are headed to the world in 10 days. He has had his lanyard set up with traders for at least 3 months.

Absolutely not! Company pins are just that, or so I was trained.

Yeah, I always figured that the pins that are traded to the CMs are part of the company, and stay with the company.

Before Mo and I go to the park, I grab a pin trading pouch bag and we go throught the pins that we want to trade with the guests.

If I have a bunch a bunch of the same pins, I will trade them. :)
