Maybe they have the younger versions that can live off of goldfish crackers and will get them unlimited child swaps.Ms. Matterhorn wrote:Rented kid not allowed to eat anything.
Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

I just don't understand how they could possibly eat more food than what they are entitled to. Most of the portions at WDW are so large that we have to spilt them.
To add fuel to this fire- I have heard of people staying on DVC points at AKL and having a ressies at All Star to get the free dining.

I do see a big hole is my plan now.CptnSkippy wrote:Maybe they have the younger versions that can live off of goldfish crackers and will get them unlimited child swaps.
you have to FEED the stock or they will prolly die.

so it's all moot now. adults without kids don't want rented kidneys to support. otherwise they would join big brother.

BTW, you guys ROCK!!!

I wouldn't do it,but adding a phantom 12-year-old to the room reservation doesn't increase the cost to the room but gets the room adult credits.
Re: Inventing a phantom child to get extra free dining credits.
First i think you have to get at least a 2 day ticket. As for how to use the second ticket, just save the KTTW card. You can have it separated but you don't have to. Just use it or even upgrade it on it.Puget Peach wrote:WOW, what an idea! I am going solo during free dining, so I can actually make the package reservation for two adults... pay $75 for the extra one day ticket... eat at signature restaurants every day... and keep the extra ticket for future use... AND convert my unused credits into snacks to bring back for my office? WAY Cool.......
NOT!!!!! No, wait... isn't the ticket on the KTTW along with the dining credits? How could you save the ticket for later use??? I don't believe you get a separate paper ticket, do you??? This entire idea is .... er.... ill advised....
BTW, you guys ROCK!!!
Note: I'm not advocating the practice just stating the policies.

That's the one "gray area" possibility that popped into my mind as I was reading this discussion, though you beat me to posting it...
A solo traveller often gets screwed when staying in a hotel room, because it's the same price whether there's one or two people in the room.
The Free Dining promotion is there to fill rooms that would otherwise go empty and operate at a loss.
It could be argued (note my wording...I'm not advocating either way on this) that the beancounters have already budgeted two sets of Adult credits per room under the Free Dining promotion. And since the trade off to Free Dining is that you pay full-price for the room, a solo traveller is only getting half of what was budgeted to that room.
So that does open the question of whether a solo traveller is "entitled" to the second set of Dining Plan credits or not...
Oh, and as already answered by someone else... You can keep the Key to the World (room key) card with an unused ticket on it indefinitely, and use it at some future date (even upgrade it or apply it toward an Annual Pass at that future date). I have a room key in my desk drawer from '08 or '09 that has a 1-day ticket on it. When we were going on our trip, I already had an Annual Pass, but went for Free Dining with a friend who needed a ticket. So we booked the package with 1-day tickets, he upgraded his to what he needed for the trip, I tucked mine away for future use.
