You wouldn't have, the testing happened this week, Monday and Tuesday, I believe.

You know, I just thought of a new issue. We're so used to Mickey not talking that it seems odd to some of us that he talks... What of those girls and others who got to meet him during the test and heard him speak. What happens when they next meet Mickey -- and he refuses to speak to them??

I see all your points. I didn't think on the fact that Mickey actually does talk in the cartoons and movies; I was just thinking strictly of the meet and greets I had experienced. I do think it would be a cool experience meeting a Mickey that talks (especially if the voice is right).

Hope you all have a great day!

I'm sure parents (and cast members) will just say that Mickey is saving his voice for the shows and parades, or something like that.

This is actually part of the Disney Living Character Initiative. Phase one was the introduction to PUSH, Wes Palm, Lucky the Dino. Phase two was Muppet Mobile Labs, and Remy. Phase three became the Dream Along heads ( which the friend inside is also a puppetteer (sp) using their left hand ( if i remember right ) to gesture with. Phase four was going to incorprate the DAWM heads and add a voice synth to incorperate the voices.

I gotta say, I LOVE the living character Initiative. :D:
I'm really looking forward to seeing what the Imagineers have next.

I've been fortunate enough to meet Lucky the Dinosaur and see the Muppet Mobile lab in action.

And I love Mr. Potato Head at Toy Story Midway Mania.

These are just cool Disney experiences that you can't get just anywhere.
