Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I used to love watching the hummingbirds with my grandmother. This is such a nice link. Thanks, Hobie!

Re: Watch out for a nasty virus affecting Facebook, Youtube and other popular sites.
That brings back some memories. When I was in junior high, my older brother Scott found a baby robin that had fallen out of the nest. He first tried returning it to the nest, but apparently the mom had abandoned it. So... it came to live in our house for a few weeks. Specifically it stayed in my brother's bedroom (so only he would have to put up with the bird poop!).
Unlike in this video, there was no momma bird coming around to feed it, so after consulting with a vet, we fed it pre-chewed scrambled eggs. (Yes, I said pre-chewed.) My brother named it Sparky, but it came to be called Peep-Burp after the sound it made.
It grew very quickly and seemed not to mind our company. After a couple of weeks Scott would open his windows and put Sparky on the window ledge, to get him used to the outdoors and give opportunities to try to fly. For many days he just hung out on the window sill, but eventually learned to fly and took off. We'd see him in our yard or trees every now and then that year!
