I have seen an actual 96-E.
Several years ago an Egret decided to perch on the beam in Epcot near a walkway to Odyssey. The pilot stopped and blew the horn, and the egret just ignored him. When the egret walked further on the beam, the monorail followed him, staying about 20 feet away. After about five minutes the egret finally decided to fly off and the monorail continued on its trip to te station.
