I just had to install another array a couple of weeks ago, and drop a server down before the array went in. Let me just say, thank God for innovation! The server is much older, and was much heavier, despite having fewer drives!
It was "easy" to slide in the new array. Of course it is just a small 12 drive unit. We only have 4TB of space on the new server. I'm disappointed.

WD disks are a guarantee to lose everything.

Between WD disks and people who don't do backups, the data recover business is guaranteed to make money.

spin right is a good product...

Are the WD OEM drives any better? I have 2 towers with them from the factory, both backed up 3 ways from sunday, and no problems touch wood.
