And I love your description of seeing Main Street and the Castle. THAT'S a picture I'd really like to see you paint.

Hugs.
Thank you so much GaTech, you are so kind and I especially loved to hear about your grandmother's roses. Mine (and my great grandmother, in fact) had beautiful rose bushes, those big fragrant ones as well, you know I never thought about this before but maybe that's why I love to paint them the most? Maybe they remind me of time spent somewhere I loved.

I'm glad I helped you remember something special and I have to thank you so much for telling me. A few days ago it was the fifth anniversary of my grandmother's passing (she was the mother of my heart, I absolutely adored her) and it never gets easier, but five years is a major milestone in my mind- and hearing your sweet memory certainly made me smile and think of happy times.

Thank you ((((hugs)))))

I painted some more roses but these are different from anything I've ever done because of the absence of color...it's up on the blog now too.

I like it, I think I may try to use this technique again sometime...

(I'd love to paint Mainstreet but I just don't think I could do it justice)

Oh, and I painted a representation of what a city street looks like to me at night and forgot to scan it in...give me a few and I'll put it up there too. It's quite confusing I'm told, but it's what I see without my corrective devices and always will.

I'm still working on the color palette for that sunset, Hobie. I haven't got it quite right yet...I think I need a few more shades of blue I'm out of Ultramarine to start with when mixing and nothing else is turning out right.

That'll take a lot of paint. Will you use scaffolding? :D:

Take your time and have a good time doing it.

LOL Hobie that reminds me of a funny Fantasyland CM I met once.

It was right after they'd closed IASW down for the big rehab where they painted the entire thing so brightly and all and I asked him, "So how long did it take you to paint it?"

He sighed, looked up towards the sky and said, "Well, I started on a Friday..."

*laugh*

That was in 1996 and I still remember him.

A good song, true, but I'm not sure how a painting of a song would turn out.

Perhaps something like this photo?

I'm missing something somewhere rat... *LOL* the picture wouldn't load for me- or was it supposed to be blank? My head is rather empty so these things just go right through it.

Took my first shot at a winter scene. I'm trying to get in the mood for Christmas I guess...

DOH! I put it on the wrong blog *slaps forehead with fairy wings* give me a minute, I'll fix that LOL Okay, here's the link!

ever seen one of those nights where the sky was so cold it was just electric blue? I wish my camera had caught the colors better it's too big to fit on the scanner (well more than one corner of it *laugh*)

I'm over 50K words for my novel...but the story is nowhere near finished *sigh* chain me back to the keyboard!

and a HUGE TYVM to Disneymom who is entirely responsible for the new avatar I have and sending the item in it (((((((Disneymom)))))))))) warm fuzzy hugs...the ornament is sitting right here next to the monitor where I can see her sparkle all the time! You're the best.

Love the winter scene Bru. And thanks for the small scanner image for color clarification. I like the electric blue much better. :D:

It was supposed to be a picture of a single of Bob Seger's Mainstreet.
