About the only reason I can see is that they are forced to wear them, and I am sure that is the case for some. Then you see someone on their own who does it and what not.

My father is still celebrating his 29th birthday. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I think I may need to get a button during my June trip, we are only missing my birthday by about a week, I would look into shifting the trip, but I still have class the week of my birthday.

If we make it out to WDW as planned, we'll be out there about 3 weeks shy of my daughter's birthday and I intend to get her a button. :) And there's definitely no freebies with that since she's only going to be 2, so the promotion doesn't apply to her anyway.

Also, don't throw a tantrum because someone DIDN'T wish you a happy birthday. I know that Board X'ers are popular for saying that one missed Happy Birthday from a CM "ruins" their vacation.

Those poor, poor babies. Their lives outside of the parks must be pitiful.

Seriously?
Pathetic, absolutely pathetic.
The sad thing is, these are the same people who think of themselves as smart.

What lives outside of the parks? You mean there's a time of the day when they're neither in the parks nor talking about them online? Hogwash!

Never mind the 89 times they've heard it from other CM's in the last half hour.
Question: What is the radius of expectation? I mean, am I supposed to spot them on a crowded day at more than, say, five feet away? Let me know if you find the answer for the distance at which it is acceptable to miss the button.
I love when McKey and I are working the same platform... few get missed at that point. I won't say it doesn't happen, but it's much more rare.

These are the same people that almost have a heart attack if they can't be the first into a theater (then want to set in the middle) or MUST get curb side for a parade, even though they have seen it a few times, without waiting like everyone else.
Thats why we ended up buying the AP's a few years ago, that way, we KNOW we can always come back some other day if something is cancelled or if it is too crowded and we can't get on an attraction. (that, and we don't have to rush around to see and do everything in one day! We can actually RELAX and have fun at the parks!)
