She is getting a lot of hassle because she kinda sorta looks like Angelina Jolie and people are saying she wants to look like her. It's funny because she says Angelina Jolie is trying to look like her. Why would Angelina Jolie want to look like somebody who wasn't famous until recently?

PS: Those lips scare me.

If she got into a good head wind they could beat her to death.

Remember when people used to say the same thing about Mick Jagger's lips? Yeah, I know, I'm old.... :p:

This is a deeply saddening situation, in my mind for those children. I see them on the news, and have a very un-PC thought. I am going to share it in spoiler text so that if you might be offended, you don't have to read it.
Every time I see the children on the news, the thing that hits me is that because of their size and the fact they are not ready to come out yet, they are downright grotesque to look at, not for being underdeveloped, but because it was done to them... they haven't had time to develop. Were they still in the womb environment, they would not be. The thing that makes them grotesque is the fact that their mother did this to them, their mother disfigured them. Some may still be lost to various health factors. Everyone I know now that's a twin was born premature. I don't know any triplets, but I can't imagine they came on the "normal" due date. But with having octuplets, and looking at these children that maybe their lungs will never develop properly, or the other health problems they are going to have... I know some kids naturally have these problems for whatever reason, and that means a difficult life for them, but they and their families will find a way. But when such a premature birth is done to them by an irresponsible, selfish and sub-caring mother who has children simply because she is obsessed with having children... it is deeply saddening for many reasons to watch this story unfold.
Two 18-hour shifts with six hours sleep between means my brain is going haywire reading this.

Well, they do sell caskets, among other things. Now they can have you at both ends of the mortal coil.

And while we're on the subject of odd-situation childbirths...

CBC News: 13-year-old named Alfie reportedly now one of Britain's youngest-ever dads

Nevermind Ms. Suleman's insistance that she can financially support her 8 children. This kid doesn't even know what the term "financially" means! .

Agreed 100%!
There just isn't room in a womb for two let alone that many babies to fully develop. These children are going to have problems for life all because of their mother's selfishness.
Two 18-hour shifts? I knew about the one. Your brain is normally haywire but the lack of sleep and long days can't help any.

I am still in shock over this one. That kid does NOT look 13!

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

There is a blurb on AOL currently that says that Octo-mom has retained an agent
So now I've read that 3 of the 6 children she's had previously have disabilties-
50% rate, so going by that statistic, she could presumably end up with 14 kids, 7 of whom are disabled.
Currently, the State of California is unable to pay the vendors who provide respite care for disabled children and is giving them IOU's. Tell me how long anyone who is making minimum wage to start can get by on IOU's? She may not get the help she was counting on to help her go back to college. Sure hope CSUF has the facilities/staff to handle her disabled and medically fragile children. Otherwise, she'll just have to rely on the kindness of her ever-ready and tireless church volunteers and the money for the movie and book rights.
One thing, with her intention to get a Master's Degree in Counseling, maybe she's planning to be administrator of her own group facility for the kids, funded by the State.
I'm so stupid, why didn't I think of that- create your own clients!

She'll be vertically integrated. As more money pours in she can form additional companies to cover food, clothing, education, health care, etc. The opportunities are endless.

Meanwhile, the rest of us go through our dopey lives wondering why we didn't think of her scam first.

Because we're decent human beings who don't use our sexual organs as a production facility to make a profit?
