We missed the Bubble Ladies....

Hey all! A message from the hard to find Susi... We were at the Golden Horseshoe yesterday, or rather Ralph was and I was at the ladies room near Zocalo when the phone rang and an "Elena" told Ralphie they were right outside. Ralphie not being on here very often had no idea who Elena was. :( Yoikes!!!!! He could not leave our table due to the crushing crowd trying to score front row seats for the Billy's, so he could not go out. I found out later that Elena had called and was heartbroken that I had missed the famous Bubble Ladies! WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! That is what I get for answering Nature's call! hehehe...
We were only at DL to ride POTC and see the Billy's before we went back to rest. I fell asleep immediately and when I awoke it was after midnight. My back is so f'd up that I HAVE to arrange EVERYTHING around it. So we will be in the Park a little later to see the Billy's again and try to get on Soarin'.
My Disney sister is arriving tonight so we have to track her down and tomorrow we will spend some time playing again. We still have Monday to do a little, we fly home late in the day, unless I can talk Ralphie into staying an extra day or 2, that may work, since I slept and rested the first 4 days of the week, we did not do anything here at all. I HATE that everything we do is determined by my back, and I am trying so hard to NOT use an ECV. I WANT to walk a little everyday, that is the only way I am going to strengthen my back, but it slow and agonizing to be here and not be able to go fast!
Looking forward to seeing whoever can make it to dinner tonight at Goofy's. That will be fun! We may have add some extra seats to the res, to fit everyone. I will have Ralph call over and add a few extra chairs so we can seat everyone.
The Park was packed yesterday! Really busy! I hope we can get seats for the Billy's later and tomorrow. That is a show we HAVE to see at least a couple times before we leave. We LOVE the Billy's.
Anyway, we arose late today and are going to get cleaned up and head for the Park for a little while and then rest this afternoon so we can be rested for dinner at Goofy's tonight at 7PM! See ya'll there!
Keep trying to call. We had the phone off during the Billy's show, so it would not disturb the show and Ralph forgot to turn it back on after til he remembered later.
Anyway, fireworks sound fun tonight after the dinner. We can all make the trek back over to DL to watch them from there! Disneymom, a great idea!
I will cross my fingers that my back will last, after a rest this afternoon, it should be okay! Can't wait to see you and hubby later on!
Having fun, wish everyone at SGT were here!

Tonight the hubby and I met up with Ralph, Princess Susi, Ktulu and his older daughter, Glendalais, and Disneymom outside Goofy's Kitchen. There's a cover charge of 30 some dollars per person to get in. We had a manager and Disneymom go get everyone to come out to say hello.
It was very nice meeting Ktulu and his daughter, and Disneymom and her husband.
It was good to see Susi and Ralph again too :)
Susi's back started bothering her, so she and Ralph went back to their room, and Disneymom and her husband and Glendalais and my hubby and myself all went to see the fireworks. I think Ktulu and family had to get two very tired young princesses to bed. Disneymom gave us a pin of Stitch as The Emperor from Star Wars.
I've been up since 5 AM so bed is sounding awfully good to me. I'm now eating popcorn and pistachio crisps and a piece of cheese.

Hello all,
Back from a very fun if exhausting time at DLR!
It was so fun to meet new people, Beilby,Glendalais and the Ktulu Family, as well as seeing Ralph, Susi and Purpura again.
We got to go see Fireworks in the Park and just loved it,and go on some attractions afterward, got to see almost everyone again today for an all too short time :( but it still was wonderful and I thought very special.
Ktulu has a beautiful wife and family, and we all LOVED their beautiful and charming little daughters. It was magical to see their faces light up whenever a character came near.
Thanks to all of you, I wish we could have had more time, so I'll be hoping to see everyone again soon! :)
Oh! And we got to try CHOCOLATE COVERED BACON!!!!!!!! :D:

So pleased R didn't know who Elena was! Worked out PERFECTLY! :) The Bubble Ladies & their 3 very fun guests came over & found me.

We must have talked & laughed for 45 mins. Having fun with friends "on the clock" & being complimented by a lead for fine Guest Servicing. Doesn't get much better than this. ;) Thanks E & E for ALWAYS finding me. I LOVE IT!!

Chocolate covered bacon? I've never tried it. I like chocolate, and I like bacon, but I've never heard of the two being together. I know I like mole (Molay) Mexican spiced chocolate sauce on chicken... so... Someone bring me some some other time mmm'kay? Also: Glad you had a good time Disneymom, and Thanks for the Emperor Stitch Pin. CBeilby put it in the pin album :)

So are you sharing some of your chocolate bacon. If you are ever in Southern California you should bring me some, I love bacon and I love chocolate.
Purpura when is the next west coast meeting. The last one died after only 4 people showed up. Do you have any M & Ms left?

At the just-completed State Fair of Texas (motto: "We'll fry anything!"), one of the new fair foods for sale was
chicken-fried bacon.

You'd get a basket with several thick-cut strips of bacon which had been battered and fried, with ranch and honey mustard for dipping. I heard it was really good, though I suspect the booth was secretly sponsored by the Texas Mortuary Association.

The ktulu has returned...
Wow, what a fun trip. We got to meet up with Lady Ulrike and her little one and hang out for a couple hours. I must thank her for the tip that I refuse to reveal on a public internet board ;) We were going to say hi again after catching a trip through storybook land, but we had to get moving.
We were able to meet up with the Bubble Ladies, and the plan was thwarted when I went to ride Big Thunder with them my darling angels turned on Mrs. Ktulu and she went off to get them out of the sun and into some A/C so I had to part ways. I kept an eye out for them, but I didn't want to arrange to meet up, the girls were in a rare form that day :/ Madam Bubble Ladies, thank you for the bubbles and the ride on Big Thunder! I can at least say that I was able to ride along with the infamous (remember, that means more than famous!) bubble ladies!
We met up with glendalais (we were late, character detours on our way to meet with him (yes, he is a he)) and he took us on the cast/ap preview of the new Blue Sky Cellar at DCA. I cannot wait for these changes to come to DCA, and they better change the name to Walt Disney's California Adventure!
We also had lunch at Ariel's Grotto (glendalais graciously made a call, and when that took too much time he waited in line and got us in on a walkup). The dessert there was pretty tasty, much better than the cookie boat thing at Blue Bayou. Then the 5 of us went and rode Toy Story Midway Mania, where I got the high score in our group! I remember seeing a video about TSMM and a technique used by I think John Lassester. I was shooting like mad and looking for those big points! We parted ways after the ride so our girls could get in a nap before going to Mickey's Trick or Treat Party.
The Trick or Treat party was fun! We didn't get on any rides, but the girls were happy to go along and get candy. We got a decent haul that I'll have to take to work. When we hit all the treat stations, we headed back to Disneyland and took our little Alice on Alice in Wonderland and our little Tinkerbell (we were calling her Stinkerbell) on Peter Pan.
We spent Saturday at DCA hitting our favorites and then had dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. That was a lot of fun, and Abby found herself some new friends! She also had so much fun dancing and helping goofy clean up. I honestly don't recall if the food was good or not! I suspect it was, since I did go back, but I think it was more for fuel! We got to meet and give a quick hello to Purpara and Beilby. It was too bad they couldn't join us for dinner! Plans were made to meet up in the park and watch fireworks, but our plan was to head back to the hotel for some rest, but plans soon change...

it was great to meet ktulu and family on friday...it was a short meet, but it was really HOT (would you believe the next day was more than 20 degrees cooler?) and really CROWDED (i haven't seen it that packed in a very long time)...it would have been the perfect time for mr. and mrs. k to be able to take their girls on rides that, alas, are no longer there, but were great for getting our kids out of the heat and a bit of a nap (country bears, america sings/carousel of progress, a trip through inner space)...i did give mr. k a bottle of bubbles to give to disneymom...did you get them? elyse and i did go into the golden horseshoe to look for susi and ralph, but i had a very generic description and though we looked high and low we couldn't spot them (so sorry your back was aching, but we know how that can be)...i did give lady ulrike a bottle of bubbles for them in case she might have seen them on saturday...maybe we'll get to see you the next time you come this way, eh? we were thwarted on going on several rides as they were down when we tried...oh well, such is life...there will be a next time :D:
main streeter it's always a pleasure to see you...and we were happy to introduce you to our friends (we know you've met betty before, but i don't know if you'd met the guys)...they're cm's who actually come to the park to play there with us...each time we learn a little bit more about them, so it's a lot of fun to hang around with them (and they don't seem to mind hanging around with gals old enough to be their moms)...
