The fine in Florida is $250 for a first offense.
One time several years ago when I lived in Virginia I saw a car had parked in the crosshatched area between two handicap spaces. I called the County Police and when I came out of a store about 20 minutes later the Police tow truck was hooking up to the car.
I agree. Out here the San Diego PD has Retired volunteers patrol and hand out handicap parking violations!hobie16 wrote:Good on ya!! :D:
Kind of a similar situation back in high school. I was working at a pizza place in a strip mall. One of my co-workers was a real a**. One night he was in rare form, and it was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.Zazu wrote:These unnamed folks picked up the Civic and placed it neatly between the lines of one parking space -- just rotated 90 degrees to the normal direction. They then took two large vans and parked them in the two adjacent spaces, very close to the lines, leaving the Civic less than an inch of slack front and back. Finally, they arranged car pools for the van owners so they would be able to leave them in place from Monday morning until Wednesday afternoon, or perhaps later if the Civic driver showed up and got bitchy.

I don't plan on ever using it, but out of curiosity -- how would they react to a non-CM calling them?hhsrat wrote:Not quite a law enforcement office, but still a good number to have ... WDW Security (Control) ... 407-824-4777
Probably very poorly, as that's not a public number.BRWombat wrote:I don't plan on ever using it, but out of curiosity -- how would they react to a non-CM calling them?

preimum gas required. and it has a really strange "auto" transmission. (No stick shift!)
and he says that when you drive on the freeway, its like a kids rocking horse, because the wheelbase is so short that it bounces back and forth due to they way the pavement slabs are seated!
Lucky he dosn't have to commute in it!
I thought about getting one for just around the area, I live very close to several shopping centers and so forth, but I am going to wait. DW wants another Explorer, and with prices falling, I might get a better deal!disneyaddict wrote:Those little things are taking over the Wash, DC area (where my dad lives). We recently went to the Newseum, and my dad asked the elevator operator how many Smart Cars could fit in it (jokingly, of course!). :D:
