/\ funny!

So, If anyone who is reading these boards wants to take advantage of the "free admission on your birthday in 2009" deal;

Please remember that you must register your birthday online in advance.

Disney should make sure to mention that a lot.

I'm sorry if I sound like a broken record, but I just want to make sure that this goes as smoothly as possibly for people who are interested in this offer.

All DLR and WDW CMs will be scheduled training at their respective Disney Universities, in order to acclimate themselves to this new promotion, much like what happened when the Year of a Million Dreams first started.

Here at the DLR, Big Thunder Ranch will be reopening as a restaurant at Disneyland Park :D: . Under the name "Celebration Roundup and Barbecue at Big Thunder Ranch".

Apparently, we will begin to sell the Mickey Mouse balloons without the surrounding mylar 'bubble'. With the predominance of balloons in this celebration, ODV/ODF Vendors, you may start crying at this time :p: .

A new street show, Celebrate You, will be debuting on Main Street USA at Disneyland Park and the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World.

Nametags: I've heard conflicting stories on this. Some are saying that we won't be getting new nametags since we're still being advertised as Disneyland Resort/Walt Disney World Resort: Where Dreams Come True, and we both have anniversaries coming up that would merit new nametags (DLR's 55th in 2010, and WDW's 40th in 2011). Though some are saying that we will, I guess we'll find out soon, lol.

I'm very excited about this. It seems like Marketing has finally done something right :D: .
Celebration Roundup and Barbecue at Big Thunder Ranch?... Hmmm What will it do to the Happiest Birthdays at Plaza Inn... I'm gonna have to find out...

Partial Guest List for Minnie and Friends Character Breakfast Disneyland Plaza Inn :minnie: :eeyore: :hook: :pooh: :tigger: :fairymom:

Ah, so the balloons will finally go back to the classic look.

The Mickey balloons first started to have that "bubble" around them when the new Tomorrowland of 1998 opened. It was supposed to look like the mickey head had a space helmet. Then, the new look just stuck around for years after.

So, finally the Mickey balloons will be back to the way they were before 1998.

Oh, and you gotta love the fine print message on some of those celebration pages;
"Disney does not condone the release of balloons into the environment"

People with allergies to latex aren't going to like this. One of the good things about the mylar balloon bubble is that other than the nipple at the bottom where the balloon was filled and tied the latex was covered so accidental contact with the balloon due to wind or something won't result in an allergic reaction. Some people are so severely allergic to latex that even a passing touch from a latex ballon will cause a reaction.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

SG : " It is little Kaeleb's birthday..., he will go in free"
CM: " Do you have an ID or birth certificate?"
SG: " He is 5, he doesn't HAVE an ID!!!! ( duh attitude)
CM : " Birth certificate?"
sg: " No, I don't carry that around!"
cm ; Well we need to prove his d/o/b
sg: Well how was I supposed to know.... nobody said.....
can you just let him in?! It is his birthday.!

[font="Palatino Linotype"]hmmmm, the classic look of a mickey mouse balloon was very close to the mickey head in a mylar balloon if i can correctly remember the one time our dad got us each one...but it was made out of the same stuff as the balloon...but if i'm not remembering correctly i know who probably will be able to...

zazu...was it just the mickey head or was it inside another balloon?
