They closed the melting pot about 5 minutes from here for no reason. It was the original one too. I tend to loose things in the pot.

The one here didn't last long either. Then again, NOTHING lasts long in the Memphis area....

At least thats I see advertised in PSA's here in California!
If the restaurants on 192 went by that standard, no one would be able to leave TGI Fridays, Bennigans or Logan's in their car, LOL!

The name of my regular drink at Melting Pot in Yin and Yang...if you're ever there, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's ice cream with some kind of chocolate liquor, topped with chocolate shavings and regular & white chocolate discs. It's sinfully delicious. Just had one tonight...mmmmmmmmmmm!

The blackberry margaritas and pomegrenate (sp?) drinks are good too but a lot more potent so I avoid those when driving (which is usually, since hubby likes to have a bottle of wine with dinner).

YUM - I looooove the Melting Pot!!! Its usually our regular Mother's Day place, but lately its been a "celebrate not needing a babysitter" nights, LOL!

I highly recommend the Bananas Foster dessert. They pour 151 into a ewer, light it, pour it in the white chocolate/dulce de leche/banana mixture and sprinkle cinnamon, which makes fireworks when it catches fire!

Oh, I just saw an ad for the Melting Pot here in the OC! Think I'll have to try it.

Hmm, yes, I do that too. When you finally fish them out, it's like finding prizes :D: ...nasty, overcooked prizes that no one wants.

A Melting Pot just opened in Lahaina. I heard the prices are pretty high so they must be going after the tourist business. We'll give it a shot in a few weeks.

We just got one up here at Crossgates Mall. Haven't been there yet, but it looks quite interesting.

At the one here in Orlando, the bananas foster dessert is part of the current "Big Night Out" promotion so it's going away later this month. The replacement is "Cherries Jubilee" so I suspect it will be a worthy successor.

We never get the oil...we always use the mojo broth cooking style. The mojo gives the veggies such a good taste. Mmmmm! And the only sauces we bother to get are the teriyaki, curry, and green goddess. We are stuck in a rut!

Kurt,

There is a Melting Pot on 434 in Longwood, I'm not sure how close to you it is but it's 20 minutes from me and worth the drive.

We normally do cocavan style and bring on lots of Green Goddess.

Don't forget the Garlic and Wine seasoning. We always ask for a second jar. Funny how they are never on the table when we leave.
