Wait a second, we're talking about our favorite celebrity encounters? I have several in the Magic Industry (and there's no way you can call it "Big Magic"), there's the time Carrot Top called me crazy, but my favorite was when I went over to the home of someone who would later be my roommate and the owner of the place he was renting from was Rusty Nails, the inspiration for Krusty the Clown. Later on, when my wife and I got married, we lived one block north of NE Flanders St.

In Portland, back when I was driving limos and stuff, I thought several times of putting together a Simpsons tour, so you could see all the things there that were part of the show.

Wow, there we go. I just threadjacked a previously threadjacked thread.

Oh SNAP!!!!!

Ms. Matterhorn wrote:The Monte Cristo sandwich! Do they still serve that at the BB? That was always the best, and I tried to make it at home, but it never came out nearly as good.
Yes! Yes and yes! The Monte Cristo is a heart attack on a plate and I cannot finish one. It is just so rich and huge and delicious. (BTW you can get the Monte Cristo at Cafe Orleans as well and they make a just cheese version with no ham, it was pretty good...) I alwys order one. Next time O think we will do a split plate so Ralph and I each get some Monte Cristo and somethign as well. Even Ralphie cannot finish a Monte Cristo there. And he is an eater. Nom! Nom!

Well, it looks like this thread has turned to oh, perish the thought...more mindless happiness! We do have fun here and the mods are not as tight about going off topic as other sites. It really does seem like you are having a regular convesation here, not just posting and that is what I really love about this place! The people are great and we all can talk and have fun witht he threads.

And the stories of guest stupidity are the best! CMs have the best perspective of guest stupidity and a rather unique view of it, so it is fun to hear the stories and poke fun at those who don't know how to behave at DL or WDW or any other place in the world, for that matter.

I have to agree with Carrot Top, Wallaby is REALLY CRAZY! ;) You just have to meet him to undrstand! hehehehe....but he is a really lovable fellow as well...awwwwwww gee!

I met Jack Nicholson once! Wowie! That was a moment to remember. I have his autograph too! He is not real tall, about 5'6" or 5'7", but then I am 6 ft so anything under 5'9" is short to me. hehehehe But he is HUGE in charisma! He was an intense dude!
Now he is just another big fat ass like the rest of us...I mean have you SEEN the pictures of him sunbathing and shoving a sammich down his piehole? (pics were in the tabloids) Jack the Beached Whale! Jack! Jack! What have ye done to yerself? :(

Ah, you are still the best actor in my book! And still big (snicker) on charisma!

My favorite "celebrity" greeting was when my sister, little brother and I got to meet Gypsy Colt (from the movie). It was at a shopping center and Gypsy was a beautiful black gelding. They lead him around inside this big circle of shoppers and everyone got to pet him on the nose. My brother was in a stroller and he stuck his fingers up Gypsy's nose and the horse snorted all over him!
LMAO over the horse incident..too funny.

Clarabelle was a guy..lol

I did get to see the touring Herbie car when the movie Herbie Rides Again came out in theaters. They had him on display at the local one for a week, Oh, and when Scooby DOO live action came out (diff theater and 30 years later) the Mystery Machine was a celebrity guest.

Met bunches of ppl's over time and lemme see....
*Jimmy Walker (J.J. -Good Times) He is actually kinda short, about 5'10" or so. They musta put him in some pretty high platforms for that show. Very nice man.
* The son from Roseanne, Hobie from Baywatch, Scott Fox??(somebody) from Party of 5???, ETC we did volunteer work for a Fox station and that was one of the perks.
*Bunches of others I cant remember, and oh-a large rodent... I think his name is Mockey or something like that :p:

HEY< I HAVE A FOOD REVIEW..we just got some coupons in the mail for Burger King pushing that Steakhouse Burger..>>>>OMG, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Nasty thing. It tasted like a McRib minus the sauce and with Durkey fried onions on it..BLECH! :(

Celebrities...

Ate at a hibachi table with Dexter Cokley, former Cowboy. Saw Tony Dorset at a Marble Slab (ice cream place). We've met Jason Hetfield and Jason Newsted (formerly) of MetallicA, the Barenaked Ladies, Tori Amos, Vanilla Ice, Josh Clayton-Felt, Willy Porter, Guster, Slash, Imagination Movers, Dimebag Darrell, Joe from Blues Clues. My wife talked smack about smelly attendees at a sci-fi convention with a Bond girl. I met tons of baseball players when I worked for the Texas Rangers (including having Nolan Ryan sign a foul ball from a game he pitched in) and Kenny Rogers helped me cheat a spades with Wayne Rosenthal ;)

My wife's best friend's father was Barry Cowsill, from the 60's band, The Cowsills. Sadly he died in Katrina.

That's all I can think of right now.

I met a CM that I was hoping would post her story here, but I haven't seen her, so I'll do it.

She works at Animal Kingdom, and saw Paris Hilton walking by from Asia, with animal exhibits all around. She turned to the GR rep and asked, "So, where are the real animals?

While we didn't go to the Blue Bayou, we did eat on resort or at the parks everyday! Well except the Pondrosa outting (that was bad!)

The staff at the resort and the parks were always plesant, the food was always resonably priced, and it always tasted like what we ordered.

The only thing I can honetly say is that the resort lacked selection of foods on a day-to-day basis, however... in their defense... we always found something to eat and if you don't like what's on the menu... it's a good thing there are other places in the parks to eat!!

P.S. MMM cinnamon rolls at Magic Kingdom... even though it's not a suggested "meal" choice... they are SOOOOO good, and ginormous enough to be a entire meal!!!

Edit: Canuikstan just let me know that the reason we didn't go to the Blue Bayou is because we weren't at Disneyland... my bad!
