I've pretty much decided I'll stick to spoiling nephews and nieces from my brother and his wife when they eventually have kids. I have no desire to have children of my own and I know for a fact I wouldn't make a good father right now at this point in my life.

You'll know when you're ready. I suggest a WIFE first. On the other hand, my DSIL (who has no kids of her own) is the world's best aunt and I think my kids are lucky to have her.

Thats easy, adopt a couple of 17 year olds a few months from their birthday and about to graduate high school. In a few years they could be working at WDW, get married, and have some kids!!

The one thing I didn't like about the mentaility is that if it is there it is meant to be climbed on or had pictures taken on. It's one thing if your kid gets away from you, it's quite another if you purposely put them there.

This brings back lots of Ariel's Grotto memories. We have a rock with an Ariel statue on it that serves as a fountain during warmer weather. The top where Ariel is is above my head (so about 5' tall). I can't tell you the number of people that put their kids up on that rock to take pictures when the fountain is not on. There is a hole in the rock for the water to come out, but they don't care about that and get mad at me when I tell them to take their child down. Never mind the hole, what if their kid fell? 5 feet is a long distance for a baby or toddler! It's a shame that we can't have nice decorations that are a part of the theming we are known for out of fear that people will think it is a stinking jungle gym!

I went glanced at the thread and then read this... Oh boy! Why do people think that because something is there it is to be climbed, stepped or played with? It is exactly the same thing as the situation you are explaining on Ariel's grotto. So many people sit the kids there. Or they let the kids climbed on the sticks. Just because something is on an area, it doesn't meant it's meant for playing. Does someone has a picture of that place? I'm rather curious.
